The surge of development in Bengal will continue despite smear campaign: Abhishek Banerjee at Canning

“You cannot block the rays of Sun with your hands. If you try, your hands will get burnt,” said Abhishek Banerjee, the National President of Trinamool Youth Congress at a meeting in Canning while warning the Opposition that malicious propaganda and lies will not derail the surge of development in Bengal.
Abhishek Banerjee alleged that the BJP is engaging in a smear campaign because the BJP knows it cannot counter Trinamool politically. “They do not have any local leaders. They have to import leaders from Delhi to fight against Trinamool,” said Abhishek.
The TMYC President asked party workers to create booth-level workers to take on the Opposition. He challenged the BJP, saying that Trinamool will win all 31 seats from South 24 Parganas in the Assembly elections.
Abhishek Banerjee was scathing in his attack on BJP. He said the BJP was trying to incite violence and tension in Bengal and destabilise the State. He also highlighted how the assets of Union Cabinet ministers had increased manifold in just 6 months. He also said that minorities were not represented in the Central Government.
Speaking on the chit fund scam, he said that only West Bengal government created a fund to return the money to the investors.
Trinamool Secretary General Partha Chatterjee, South 24 Parganas District President Sovan Chatterjee, Monturam Pakhira, MP Pratima Naskar and other MLAs of the district were present at the rally.
