S Bandyopadhyay’s ZH mention, demanding from Rail Min reports on train derailment & safety aspects
Sir, I received an information from my Chief Minister this morning that the Mumbai-Howrah Mail, Train No.12810, has faced a derailed condition, and four persons have died at 3.43 am today. That was too early time. I am keen to know the latest position from the hon. Railway Minister. This is because safety in the Railways has now become a challenge. Everyday, accidents are taking place. I was the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Railways during the last few years. Again and again, we mentioned that the Railways should consider safety first. But now it is happening regularly. Why is the Railway Minister not coming to the House and submitting a report to us?
