Novel fair to spread environmental awareness among students
West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) is organizing `Kishore Paribesh Mela` for school students at Mohur Kunja in Kolkata to make spread environmental awareness and the measures the industry is taking to safeguard the environment. Students from nearly 4,000 schools across West Bengal will take part at the fair beginning on December 24, 2013, continuing till December 26.
This maiden youth-environment fair will see the participation of 13 public and private sector industries and students from the eco-clubs from across the state. This is the first time such an event has been organized where students from across the state will get to know about how industries participate in protecting the environment. The event will mainly focus on how they ensure the environmental safety.
Cultural programmes like puppet shows, mimes, animated films on the environmental theme will also be used by the organisers up to engage the young learners during the three-day event.
