West Bengal Government presented awards on the occasion of Nazrul Jayanti
A culture programme and an awards ceremony were organised by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department of the Government of West Bengal on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam. It was held at Nazrul Tirtha in New Town on May 25.
The programme began with Firhad Hakm and other important people garlanding a statue of the poet. Twenty-two prominent people in the field of culture were awarded.
Poet Nirendranath Chakrabarty was given the Rabindra Smriti Puraskar, writer Maheswata Devi was given the Bankim Puraskar and singer Dwijen Bandopadhyay was given the Dinabandhu Puraskar.
The West Bengal Rajya Sangeet Academy presented the Alauddin Puraskar to Pandit Dulal Ray, the Uday Shankar Puraskar to Sreelekha Mukherjee, the Girija Shankar Puraskar to Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan and the Gyan Prakash Puraskar to Pandit Ajay Chakrabarty.
The West Bengal Bangla Academy presented the Rabindra Smriti Puraskar to Pradeep Dutta and the Vidyasagar Rabindra Smriti Puraskar to Ujjwal Kumar Majumdar.
On behalf of the West Bengal Natya Academy, Usha Ganguly was given the Girish Puraskar and Kaushik Chatterjee, the Shambhu Mitra Puraskar.
Awards were given on behalf of the Crafts Council of West Bengal, too – the Abanindra Puraskar to Lalu Prasad Sahu, the Binod Bihari Puraskar to Shantiranjan Mukherjee and the Ramkinkar Puraskar to Shankar Ghosh.
The Folk & Tribal Cultural Centre, West Bengal awarded the Sudhipradhan Puraskar to Panmani Besra, the Lalan Puraskar to Kalpana Hazra, the Pandit Raghuray Murmu Puraskar to Chhatray Tudu and the Thakur Panchanan Barma Puraskar to Ganav Rava.
On behalf of the West Bengal Jatra Academy, Tapan Ganguly was given the Bina Dasgupta Puraskar.
The West Bengal Shishi Kishore Academy also presented two awards – the Vidyasagar Smriti Puraskar to Narayan Debnath and the Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury Puraskar to Himadri Kishore Gupta.
নজরুল জয়ন্তীতে বিশিষ্টজনদের পুরস্কার দিল রাজ্য
কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের জন্মজয়ন্তী উপলক্ষে গতকাল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি দফতরের উদ্যোগে নিউটাউনের নজরুল তীর্থে একটি সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। এদিন ২২ জন বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিবর্গকে পুরস্কৃত করা হয়।
অনুষ্ঠান শুরুর আগে সেখানে নজরুলের মূর্তিতে মাল্যদান করেন ফিরহাদ হাকিম সহ উপস্থিত বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিবর্গরা। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বাংলা অ্যাকাডেমির পক্ষ থেকে প্রখ্যাত কবি নীরেন্দ্রনাথ চক্রবর্তীকে রবীন্দ্রস্মৃতি পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়। মহাশ্বেতা দেবীকে বঙ্কিম পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়। দ্বিজেন বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে দীনবন্ধু পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়।
পণ্ডিত দুলাল রায়কে রাজ্য সঙ্গীত অ্যাকাডেমির পক্ষ থেকে আলাউদ্দিন পুরস্কার, শ্রীলেখা মুখার্জিকে উদয়শঙ্কর পুরস্কার, উস্তাদ মাসকুর আলি খানকে গিরিজা শঙ্কর পুরস্কার, পণ্ডিত সঞ্জয় মুখার্জিকে জ্ঞান প্রকাশ পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়। কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম অ্যাকাডেমির পক্ষ থেকে কবীর সুমনকে নজরুল স্মৃতি পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বাংলা অ্যাকাডেমির পক্ষ থেকে প্রদীপ দত্তকে রবীন্দ্রস্মৃতি পুরস্কার, উজ্জ্বল কুমার মজুমদারকে বিদ্যাসাগর রবীন্দ্রস্মৃতি পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়।
পশ্চিমবঙ্গ নাট্য অ্যাকাডেমির পক্ষ থেকে ঊষা গাঙ্গুলিকে গিরিশ পুরস্কার, কৌশিক চ্যাটার্জিকে শম্ভু মিত্র পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়। রাজ্য চারুকলা পর্ষদের পক্ষ থেকে লালু প্রসাদ সাউকে অবনীন্দ্র পুরস্কার, শান্তিরঞ্জন মুখার্জিকে বিনোদ বিহারী পুরস্কার এবং শঙ্কর ঘোষকে রামকিঙ্কর পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়।
লোক সংস্কৃতি ও আদিবাসী সংস্কৃতি কেন্দ্রের পক্ষ থেকে পানমণি বেসরাকে সুধীপ্রধান পুরস্কার, কল্পনা হাজরাকে লালন পুরস্কার, ছটরায় টুডুকে পণ্ডিত রঘুরায় মুর্মু পুরস্কার এবং গনাভ রাভাকে ঠাকুর পঞ্চানন বর্মা পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ যাত্রা অ্যাকাডেমির পক্ষ থেকে তপন গাঙ্গুলিকে বীণা দাশগুপ্ত পুরস্কারে পুরস্কৃত করা হয়। সব শেষে নারায়ণ দেবনাথ এবং হিমাদ্রী কিশোর গুপ্তকে শিশু কিশোর অ্যাকাডেমির পক্ষ থেকে বিদ্যাসাগর স্মৃতি পুরস্কার এবং উপেন্দ্র কিশোর রায়চৌধুরী পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয় এদিন।
