Mamata Banerjee`s painting exhibition attracts celebrities

Kolkata, April 4: Celebrities lined up to see Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee`s paintings as her solo show with 98 paintings, opened at Gallerie 88 on Monday. The exhibition will remain open till April 6.
Dancer Amala Shankar, singer Dwijen Mukherjee, cricket administrator Jagmohan Dalmiya, actors Sandhya Roy and June Malia, artists Jogen Chaudhary, Shuvaprasanna and Samir Aich were present to encourage the Trinamool Congress chief.
The proceeds from the first two exhibitions in 2005 and 2007 were handed over to charity and Nandigram families. This time she has gifted the paintings to Jago Bangla, the party newspaper, which is selling them. Jago Bangla has organised this exhibtion.
