Mamata Banerjee completes two years on Twitter

On the occasion of the Foundation Day of the All India Trinamool Congress, on January 1, 2015, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee joined micro blogging website Twitter, calling it a new beginning. She greeted people on the New Year 2015 in her first ever tweet.
Within two years, @Mamataofficial has around 7.05 lakh followers and has posted 2162 tweets.
Mamata Banerjee has been tweeting on varied issues, ranging from making political statements, to greeting people, paying homage to icons on their birth/death anniversaries or congratulating sporting personalities for achieving success and sharing new about development in Bengal.
