KMC blueprint ready for renovation of Kalighat Temple
Kolkata Municipal Corporation, as per plans initiated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, has decided to start the renovation work for Kalighat Temple, one of the most important temples in India.
The renovation work by KMC would keep intact the basic framework of the temple. The detailed project report (DPR) regarding the project is ready.
A lot of tourists, both from across the country as well as from abroad, come to visit the heritage temple complex, and so the State Government is eager to complete the renovation.
Renovation blueprint:
Widening the entry and exit roads of the temple
To enable the widening, a few shops would be relocated; but none would be removed.
As in the Dakshineswar Temple, multiple doorways would be constructed
Keeping in mind the law and order situation, the Kalighat Police Station might be brought nearer to the temple
The aat-chala sanctum sanctorum of the temple would be kept intact
Places adjacent to the temple like Natmandir, Jorbangla, Manasatala, Harikathtala and Dudhpukur would be made more attractive to tourists
New lighting would be put up across the complex, which would be bright as well as environment-friendly.
The ghats along Adi Ganga near the temple would be renovated.
The illustrious history of the Kalighat Temple would be put on display along the route to the entrance.
A crèche would be built to keep the children of devotees who come to worship at the temple.
A special place would be set up for keeping the footwear of the devotees (all have to enter the temple barefoot)
কালীঘাট চত্বরের সংস্কারের ব্লুপ্রিন্ট তৈরী করলো কলকাতা পুরসভা
মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নির্দেশে এবার কালীঘাট মন্দির চত্বরের সংস্কার করবে কলকাতা পুরসভা।
কালীঘাট মন্দিরের মূল কাঠামো বজায় রেখেই সংস্কার করবে কলকাতা পুরসভা। সেই কাজ ঠিক করতে কলকাতা পুরসভাকে একাধিক প্রকল্প রিপোর্ট তৈরী করতে বলা হয়েছে। এই বিষয়ে পুরসভার ডিপিআর তৈরি।
মন্দির চত্বরে ঢোকা ও বেরোনোর রাস্তা প্রশস্ত করা হবে। দক্ষিণেশ্বরের কথা মাথায় রেখে কলকাতা পুরসভা উন্নয়নের রূপরেখা তৈরী করবে। একাধিক প্রবেশদ্বার তৈরী করা হবে। দোকানগুলিকেও সাজানো হবে।
আইন-শৃঙ্খলার স্বার্থে কালীঘাট থানাকে মন্দিরের কাছাকাছি আনা হতে পারে। সবটাই নির্ভর করবে পুরসভার নকশার উপরে।
দেশ বিদেশ থেকে বহু মানুষ এখানে আসেন। তাই এই চত্বর সাজানোর উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।
সংস্কারের ব্লু-প্রিন্টঃ-
• আটচালার মূল মণ্ডপ অক্ষত রেখেই করা হবে সংস্কার।
• মন্দির সংলগ্ন নাটমন্দির, জোড়াবাংলা, মনসাতলা, হাড়িকাঠতলা ও দুধপুকুরকে পুন্যার্থীদের কাছে আরও আকর্ষণীয় করে সাজিয়ে তোলা হবে।
• মন্দির প্রাঙ্গণকে আলোকোজ্জ্বল করে তুলতে ব্যবহার করা হবে নতুন আলো। একই সঙ্গে আলো যাতে পরিবেশ বান্ধব হয়, সেদিকেও নজর দেওয়া হবে।
• মন্দিরের ঢোকা এবং বের হওয়ার রাস্তায় কালীঘাট মন্দিরের ইতিহাস তুলে ধরার ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। পাশাপাশি আদিগঙ্গার পাড়কেও সুন্দর করে সাজিয়ে তোলার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে এই ডিপিআর-এ।
• রাস্তা প্রশস্ত করতে বেশ কিছু দোকান ও ডালার অবস্থানগত পরিবর্তন করা হতে পারে। তবে কাউকেই উচ্ছেদ করার কোনও পরিকল্পনা নেই।
• ভক্তরা যাতে মন্দিরে পুজো দেওয়ার সময় সঙ্গে থাকা শিশুদের রেখে যেতে পারেন, তার জন্য ক্রেশ চালু করার ব্যবস্থা করা হবে আধুনিক করে তোলা কালীঘাট মন্দিরে।
• মন্দিরের পুন্যার্থীদের জন্য জুতো রাখার বিশেষ ব্যবস্থা করারও পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে।
• সংস্কারের কাজের জন্য কালীঘাট থানা আরও মন্দিরের কাছে চলে যেতে পারে।
• কালীঘাট মন্দিরের ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্যকে মাথায় রেখেই গোটা পরিকল্পনা চূড়ান্ত করেছেন ইঞ্জিনিয়ার ও বিশেষজ্ঞরা।
