Indian IT professionals must be protected after H-1B Visa mandate: Mamata Banerjee
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a series of tweets expressed her concern over the issue regarding H-1B visas.
She said that the IT companies and professionals must be protected and given full support.
She tweeted that it is the nation’s duty to secure their interests as India is proud of the world-class talent of its IT techies.

এইচ ১বি ভিসা নীতি নিয়ে এবার উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করলেন বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এদিন টুইট করে নিজের মতামত জানিয়েছেন তিনি।
টুইটে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী লিখেছেন, এইচ১ বি ভিসা সংক্রান্ত যে খবর সামনে আসছে তা অত্যন্ত উদ্বেগের। আমাদের তথ্য প্রযুক্তি কর্মী ও সংস্থাগুলিকে রক্ষা করা উচিত। তাদের পূর্ণ সমর্থন দেওয়াই আমাদের কর্তব্য।
তিনি আরও বলেন, “ ভারতে বিশ্বমানের তথ্য প্রযুক্তি কর্মী রয়েছেন। তাদের নিয়ে আমরা গর্বিত। তাদের সুরক্ষিত করা আমাদের কর্তব্য”। সেইজন্য তিনি সমস্ত তথ্য প্রযুক্তি কর্মীদের পাশে দাঁড়ানোর বার্তা দিয়েছেন।
