Howrah reconfirms faith in Maa, Mati, Manush, Trinamool victorious in by-election
People of Howrah reconfirmed their faith on Trinamool Congress yet again and Trinamool candidate Prasun Banerjee walked through the Howrah Lok Sabha By- Election quite comfortably with a margin of 27, 015 votes. He received a total of received 4, 26, 273 votes which is 44.5% of the votes polled.
Trinamool Chairperson Ms Mamata Banerjee termed the win as the victory of democracy. Unlike last time, this was an election in which Trinamool Congress had taken the challenge alone, without any coalition. `Tomara ekla cholo, Manush tomader eka egiye niye jabe`, was the message in the air, said the Chairperson Ms Mamata Banerjee. You cannot compare this election with any other election. This is a whole new arithmetic, said she.
She also said that Trinamool Congress will fare well in the upcoming Panchayat polls and this victory will boost up the spirits of the party.
