Happy Birthday Alipurduar: WB CM on Facebook
West Bengal Chief Minister today congratulated and extended her best wishes to the “brothers and sisters” of Alipurudar district on the occasion of the first anniversary of creation of new district.
She wrote: “Today is the first anniversary of creation of new district of Alipurduar, which our Government did last year to fulfil the long-standing demands of the people of the region.
Congratulations and best wishes to all my brothers and sisters of Alipurduar. Happy birthday, Alipurduar.”
Last year on this day, the new district came into existence, consisting of Alipurduar, Shamuktala, Kumargram, Falakata, Birpara, Kalchini, Jaigaon and Madarihat blocks.
At a function at Alipurduar last year, WB CM had said June 25 will be observed as Alipurduar Dibas every year.
