Floating restaurant to come up on the Ichamati in Taki
The Ichamati River, straddling the border of India and Bangladesh, is going to get a new tourist attraction – a floating restaurant, courtesy the Bengal Tourism Department. It is being located in the scenic riverside town of Taki.
This is going to be the second floating restaurant in the state, the first one being on the Hooghly in Kolkata.
Hundreds of people visit the bank of the river every day, and winter is especially a busy season. There will be round-the-year special events to ensure optimum enjoyment for those visiting the floating restaurant.
টাকিতে ইছামতি নদীর ওপর তৈরী হবে ভাসমান রেস্তোরাঁ
ভারত-বাংলাদেশ সীমান্তে অবস্থিত টাকিতে বয়ে চলা ইছামতি নদী দুর্গাপুজোর বিসর্জনের জন্য ইতিমধ্যেই বিখ্যাত। এবার টাকির পর্যটন মানচিত্রে যোগ হবে এক নতুন পালক – একটি ভাসমান রেস্তোরাঁ।
টাকির এই রেস্তোরাঁটি হবে রাজ্যের দ্বিতীয় ভাসমান রেস্তোরাঁ। কলকাতায় হুগলী নদীর ওপর এমন একটি রেস্তোরাঁ আছে।
প্রত্যেক বছর হাজার হাজার পর্যটক টাকি বেড়াতে যান। শীতকালে পিকনিকের এক জনপ্রিয় গন্তব্য এই শহর। রাজ্য পর্যটন দপ্তরের এই উদ্যোগে টাকির পর্যটনের বিকাশ হবে বলেই আশা করা যায়।
