Sir, we have come to know from newspapers that the SBI is planning to shift a major part of Forex operations of global market unit, situated in Kolkata to Mumbai. SBI plans to shift the Centralised Global Bank Office, CGBO, also which works 24×7 from time zone Sydney, Bahrain, Hong Kong, London and New York, that is, important Central treasuries. I would like to know, through you, Sir, what steps can be taken by the Union Government and the concerned Ministry, so that the operations of the prestigious global market unit, Kolkata, of State Bank of India, a Public Sector Bank, continues to function from Kolkata and there is no more deprivation to West Bengal.
