Dengue outbreak:CM requests people to not to panic
West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee requested people not get panic if they experience Dengue symptoms as it will only make things worse.

The Chief Minister suggested to get their blood test done immediately as treatment can start only after that, `I want to tell you that please don't get panic or tensed as you should get your blood tested and I will suggest to get it done at a government hospital.` However Chief Minister requested all not to spread rumors as people who are already scared will get traumatized.

Chief Minister requested people to be more observant. She advised everyone to keep their surroundings clean and not to allow stagnant water to gather as these could be breeding ground for mosquitoes. Chief Minister advised those who previously suffered from this virus and requested them to be more careful as relapse of Dengue fever may turn serious even fatal in some cases. `I know Dengue mosquitoes breed in fresh water and bite during day time but prevention is better than cure, hence I want you to maintain cleanliness. We on administrative front can issue instructions and even visit homes to see if people follow the rules but I feel this is not required and all will follow the basic cleanliness.`

Chief Minister paid a surprise visit to SSKM Hospital in the morning and took stock of the situation.
