CM on district visit from Oct. 10, to take stock of development and rehabilitation work

After the four-days of celebrations and festivity it’s back to business as usual at the Writers’ Building. Paschimbanga Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee on Friday evening convened a meeting and announced her tour to the Hills and Jangalmahal.
The Chief Minister said that she will be visiting Darjeeling on October 10 where she will attend a tourism festival. Ms. Banerjee who had rushed to the Hills after a devastating earthquake which rocked North Bengal and Sikkim on September 18 promised that she would come back immediately after the Puja and will personally take stock of relief and rehabilitation work been carried out during the past weeks.
Ms. Banerjee will be starting her scheduled district visit across Paschimbanga with the Darjeeling tour and will subsequently move towards Dooars on October 12 and will attend a tribal festival.
During her last leg of her district tour Ms. Banerjee s. Banerjee will be heading to Jhargram after returning from Dooars on October 14 and is likely to visit North 24-Parganas on October 19 and on October 20 she will be going to South 24-Parganas.
