Chief Minister inaugurates `Uttar Banga Utsav` in North Bengal, fascinates all by sketching a canvas on stage

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the `Uttar Banga Utsav` (North Bengal Festival) at Kanchanjangha Stadium on Monday.

The Chief Minister conferred `Bongo Shomman` on eminent personalities. `I am immensely happy tio think that we are able to felicitate such people for their excellence in their respective fields. I have specially dedicated this to sportsmen. As you know you we have already felicitated those who are associated with music and art fraternity`, said the Chief Minister.

She on this occasion also expressed happiness that the State Government will be inaugurating more fare-price-medicine shops in the State, `These shops will enable people to buy medicine at a subsidized rate and each medicine will cost nearly 40 per cent less than the regular market`, added the Chief Minister.

On this occasion the Chief Minister referred to the positive work being carried out in the state.  `I find some people from different quarters are indulging in false propaganda and criticizing Trinamool Congress Government of doing nothing g but wasting revenue in organizing festivals. I want to ask them in return that what is wrong if we celebrate the good work being done in the State. The past regime did nothing but ruined the State`, she said. `I am committed development in Bengal`, added the Chief Minister.
