Bengal Govt to set up advisory council for OBCs
The Bengal Government, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, will set up an advisory council for Other Backward Classes (OBC).
After Chief Minister held the first meeting of the newly constituted West Bengal Scheduled Castes Advisory Council in Nabanna on Thursday, she tweeted, announcing the formation of the new council for OBC.
There were satisfactory discussions over different related issues in the meeting and many proposals have also come up, which will be looked into. There will also be meeting of the council after every 6 months to review different components related to the West Bengal Scheduled Castes Advisory Council.
The CM later tweeted: “Today we had the first meeting of the newly constituted West Bengal Scheduled Castes Advisory Council. This Council, with extensive representation of public representatives and experts, is the first of its kind in the country. Created under an Act, this Council will meet every six months and will look after the overall development and welfare of the SC community.”
ওবিসিদের জন্য কাউন্সিল রাজ্যের
ওবিসিদের উন্নয়নে এবার বিশেষ উপদেষ্টা পর্ষদ গড়ছে রাজ্য সরকার। তারা রাজ্যের অন্যান্য অনগ্রসর সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষের আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়নে বিভিন্ন পরিকল্পনা করবে, প্রস্তাব দেবে। তাদের স্বার্থ সুরক্ষিত করার পাশাপাশি কোনও অভিযোগ থাকলে দ্রুত খতিয়ে দেখে ব্যবস্থা নেবে এই পর্ষদ। নবান্নে তফসিলি জাতি উপদেষ্টা পর্ষদের বৈঠক হয়। সেখানেই ওবিসি কাউন্সিল গঠনের কথা ঘোষণা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।
কোনও দরকারি কাজ ফেলে রাখতে চান না মুখ্যমন্ত্রী, তাই, দ্রুত সমস্ত কাজ সম্পন্ন করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। রাজ্যের পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষদের জন্য বরাদ্দ টাকা, ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জন্য বৃত্তি যাতে দ্রুত তুলে দেওয়া যায়, আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়নে যাতে কোনও বাধা না আসে, তা দেখতেই এই কাউন্সিল গোঁড়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে সরকার। প্রসঙ্গত রাজ্যে ওবিসির ১৭৫টি সম্প্রদায় আছে। কাউন্সিল ২-৩মাস অন্তর অন্তর নিজেরা বৈঠক করবে। উপদেষ্টা পর্ষদ বসবে ছয় মাস অন্তর।
