Trinamool Youth Congress will felicitate Trinamool Congress veterans after Shahid Dibas: Abhishek Banerjee
At a public meeting at Kultoli in South 24 Parganas district yesterday, Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee stated that veteran Trinamool Congress leaders would be felicitated at a programme after the July 21 Shahid Dibas mega-meeting.
He said he often meets old-timers of the party, and listens to and becomes enriched by their experiences. So he has decided that the Trinamool Yuva Congress would give them a fitting compliment.
Directing his ire at the divisive and communal BJP, he said the party’s intention is to create tension in Bengal; however, the people of the state would stand up to any such nefarious plans as they will not let the state be divided.
He also said, those who worked for the CPI(M) earlier now, under the cover of the night, carry on their work for the BJP. The BJP never wants the good of the people. It only wants to divide people among communal lines, pitting Hindus against Muslims.
