Developments galore in Bardhaman district
The Pashchimanchal Unnayan Development Board has given shape to many development projects in 74 blocks in five districts, including in Bardhaman. As a result, State Government services to even the most far-flung areas have become easily available.
Health and Family Welfare
- Asansol is being developed as a separate health district to enable better services.
- Two multi super-speciality clinics coming up in Asansol and Kalna
- Fair-price medicine shops have been opened in Bardhaman Medical College Hospital, Katwa Sub-divisional Hospital, Memari Rural Hospital, Asansol District Hospital, Durgapur Sub-divisional Hospital and Kalna Sub-divisional Hospital, through which 14 lakh people have got a discount of Rs. 26.74 crores.
- Two fair-price diagnostic centres (FPDC) have been established in Bardhaman and Asansol.
Education
- Kazi Nazrul University has been established in Asansol.
- Two government colleges have been established in Kalna and Mangalkote which have started their academic sessions from 2015-16.
- New industrial training institutes (ITIs) have been established in Purbasthali-1, Mangalkot and Bhatar blocks.
Agriculture and Land Reforms
- 24,000 families have received patta under the Nijo Griha Nijo Bhumi scheme.
- 100% of the families dependent on agriculture have received Kisan Credit cards.
- Krishak Bazaars have been set up in 10 blocks: Ketugram-1, Bardhaman, Jamalpur, Purbasthali-1, Galsi-1, Bhatar, Ketugram-2, Memari-1 and Kalna.
Panchayat and Rural Development
- Under the 100 Days’ Work programme, almost Rs 2,204 crore have been spent which has led to the creation of 10.7 crore work-days. This has led to Bardhaman district being awarded by the Central Government.
- Under Gram Sadak Yojana, the State Governemnt has facilitated the construction of 263 km of road.
Minorities’ Development
- In the last four-and-a-half years, more than 6 lakh students from minority communities have received scholarships worth more than Rs 100 crore.
- Rs 36 crore have been given as credit to help youth from minority communities.
Backward Classes and Adivasi Development
- 1.8 lakh children have received assistance under the Shikshashree Scheme.
Women and Child Development
- More than 2.5 lakh students have received scholarships under the Kanyashree Scheme.
Irrigation
- 52 km of dams has been strengthened.
- Water distributed for irrigation in 2014-15: Kharif season – 5.83 lakh acres, Rabi season – 20,000 acres, Boro season – 30,000 acres.
Self-Help Groups and Schemes
- Around 6,000 self-help groups have been formed under the Anandadhara Scheme.
- More than 10,000 self-help schemes have been initiated and around Rs 70 crore has been given out as grants under Swami Vivekananda Swanirbhar Karmasuchi Prakalpa.
Information and Broadcasting
- 5,000 artistes are receiving a retainer fee and pension.
Sports and Youth Affairs
- 71 multi-gym centres will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.42 lakh.
The State Government’s services are now easily available to everyone. Governance and development are the trump cards of the West Bengal Government.
বর্ধমান জেলার অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন
বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে তৃনমূল কংগ্রেস বর্ধমান জেলায় উন্নয়নের জোয়ার নিয়ে এসেছে। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এই জেলার উন্নয়নের জন্য প্রচুর সরকারি প্রকল্প এবং উদ্যোগ চালু করেছেন।
র্ধমান জেলার মাটি তীর্থ-কৃষি কথা ইউনাইটড নেশন্স অরগানাইজেশান দ্বারা স্বীকৃত।
স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যান
আসানসোলকে পৃথক স্বাস্থ্য জেলা হিসাবে গরে তোলা হয়েছে।
৭টি ন্যায্য মূল্য ওষুধের দোকান চালু করা হয়েছে বর্ধমান মেডিকাল কলেজ ও হাসপাতাল, কাটোয়া মহকুমা হাসপাতাল, মেমারি রুরাল হাসপাতাল, আসানসোল জেলা হাসপাতাল, দুর্গাপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতাল, কালনা মহকুমা হাসপাতাল, ও অনাময় হাসপাতাল।
শিক্ষা
কাজী নজ্রুল ইসলাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থাপিত করা হয়েছে আসানসোলে।
২টি সরকারি কলেজ চালু হয়ে গেছে কালনা ও মঙ্গল্কটে।
পুরবাস্থলি-১, মঙ্গল্কোট এবং ভাতারে ITI স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।
ভুমি সংস্কার ও কৃষি
২৪ হাজার পরিবারকে ‘নিজ গৃহ নিজ ভুমি’ প্রকল্পে পাট্টা দেওয়া হয়েছে।
মোট কৃষক পরিবারের ১০০ শতাংশ কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ড পেয়েছে।
কৃষক বাজার নির্মিত হয়েছে ১০টি ব্লকেঃ কেতুগ্রাম-১, বর্ধমান, জামালপুর, পুরবাস্থলি-১, গালসি-১, ভাতার, কেতুগ্রাম-২, মেমারি-১ আর কালনা।
পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন
১০০ দিনের কাজে প্রায় ২২০৪ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করে ১০.৭০ কোটি শ্রম দিবস সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। এর জন্যে বর্ধমানকে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার বিশেষ পুরস্কারে পুরস্কৃত করেছে।
গ্রামীণ সড়ক যোজনায় ২৬৩ কিমি. রাস্তা নির্মিত হয়েছে। আরও ৮ কিমি. আগামি মে মাসের মধ্যে শেষ হয়ে যাবে।
সংখ্যালঘু উন্নয়ন
বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে সাড়ে ৬ লক্ষেরও বেশি সঙ্খালঘু ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের ১০০ কোটিরও বেশি টাকা স্কলারশিপ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
স্বনির্ভরতার জন্য সংখ্যালঘু যুবক যুবতিদের প্রায় ৩৬ কোটি টাকা ৠণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে। আরও ৮ কোটি টাকা প্রদান করা হবে মে মাসের মধ্যে।
অনগ্রসর কল্যান ও আদিবাসি উন্নয়ন
১.৮০ লাখেরও বেশি ছাত্র শিক্ষাশ্রী প্রকল্পে সহায়তা পাচ্ছে এবং আরও ১.৭ লাখ ছাত্ররা মে মাসের মধ্যে এই প্রকল্পের আওতাভুক্ত হবে।
নারী ও শিশু উন্নয়ন
জেলায় প্রায় ২.৫ লাখ ছাত্রী কন্যাশ্রীর আওতায় এসেছে।
সেচ
৫২ কিমি. দীর্ঘের বাঁধ সংরক্ষণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। ২০১৪-১৫ সালে সেচের জল সরবরাহঃ খারিফ মরশুম-৫.৮৩ লক্ষ একর, রবি মর্শুম-২০,০০০ একর, বোরো মরশুম-৩০,০০০ একর।
স্বনিরভর দল
আনন্দধারা প্রকল্পে ৬ হাজার স্বনিরভর দল গঠিত হয়েছে।
স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ স্বনির্ভর কর্মসূচী প্রকল্পে ১০ হাজারেরও বেশি প্রকল্পের অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং প্রায় ৭০ কোটি টাকা অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি
৫ হাজার লোকশিল্পী রিটেনার ফি ও পেনশান পাচ্ছেন।
ক্রীড়া ও যুব কল্যান
৭১টি মাল্টি জিম সেন্টার গড়ে তুলতে ১.৪২ কোটি টাকা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
পশ্চিমাঞ্চল উন্নয়ন বিষয়ক দপ্তর এক গুচ্ছ উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মসূচী রূপায়ন করে চলেছে ৭৪টি ব্লকে ৫টি জেলায় (মেদিনীপুর, বাঁকুড়া, পুরূলিয়া, বীরভূম ও বর্ধমান)। ২০০৭-১১ সালে এই দপ্তরের পরিকল্পিত বাজেট ছিল ১৬০ কোটি টাকা যা ২০১১-১৫ সালে বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে হয়েছে প্রায় ৬০৯ কোটি টাকা।
