Elections cannot be won by rigging: Mamata Banerjee
Mamata Banerjee addressed rallies in Sagardighi, Domkol and Hariharpara in Murshidabad district today in support of the party’s candidates for the Assembly election.
Yesterday she had addressed rallies in Malda district.

On Congress
In 1998 we formed Trinamool in 22 days and fought the elections to get rid of the CPI(M) and its B-team, the Congress.
On the Congress-Left alliance
CPI(M) leaders are rudderless without Congress support. The Congress and the CPI(M) are ideologically bankrupt. Like Mir Jafar sold out Siraj-ud-Daulah, the Cong-CPI(M) alliance is selling out the country. They are traitors to the nation. The CPI(M) and the Congress are two sides of the same coin in Bengal. The Congress knows that without CPI(M), they cannot exist. The CPI(M) has forgotten Marx, Lenin, Ho Chi Minh and their other leaders. Today they are aimless and ‘ideology-less’. The Congress and the CPI(M) are like neem leaves, very bitter.
On the BJP
BJP is busy inciting riots and engaging in hate politics. It is trying to create a rift between communities in Bengal. BJP is like a thorn that pricks.
On development
19 Minority Bhavans have been set up, scholarships have been given to minority and Adivasi students. The budget for minorities was Rs 400 crore under the CPI(M), we have raised it to Rs 2,500 crore. Khadya Sathi, Kanyashree, free healthcare have been made possible under the Trinamool Congress. Fair-price medicine shops and fair-price diagnostic centres have revolutionised healthcare in Bengal. Load-shedding is a thing of the past in Bengal. We stand for development and communal harmony.

কংগ্রেস-বাম জোট সম্পর্কে
সিপিএম নেতারা কংগ্রেসদের ছাড়া আজ আশ্রয়হীন| কংগ্রেস-সিপিএম তাদের নীতি-আদর্শ বিক্রি করে আজ দেউলিয়া হয়েগেছে| কংগ্রেস আর সিপিএম মীরজাফরের মত বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করছে| সিপিএম ও কংগ্রেস একই মুদ্রার এপিঠ-ওপিঠ| কংগ্রেস জানে সিপিএমের সমর্থন ছাড়া তাদের অস্তিত্বরক্ষা সম্ভব নয়| সিপিএম মার্কস, লেনিন, হো চি মিন দের বাদ দিয়ে দিয়েছে। তাদের আদর্শবিচ্যুতি ঘটেছে| সিপিএম আর কংগ্রেস হল নিমপাতা।

উন্নয়ন সম্পর্কে
সংখ্যালঘুদের জন্য ১৯টি ভবন তৈরি হয়েছে, আমরা তাদের ঋণ দিয়েছি| বাম জমানায় সংখ্যালঘুদের জন্য বরাদ্দ ছিল ৪০০ কোটি টাকা, এখন তা বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে হয়েছে ২৫০০ কোটি টাকা| সংখ্যালঘু ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের জন্য অনেক রকম উন্নয়ন প্রকল্প চালু করেছে আমাদের সরকার| একমাত্র তৃণমূল সরকারের জন্য বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা, খাদ্যসাথী, কন্যাশ্রী বাস্তবায়িত হয়েছে| মুর্শিদাবাদে নতুন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ক্যাম্পাস তৈরী হয়েছে| স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবার উন্নতির জন্য আমরা ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান, ন্যায্য মূল্যের ডায়াগনসটিক সেন্টার চালু হয়েছে| আজ বাংলায় আর লোড-শেডিং নেই, এসব এখন অতীত| আমরা উন্নয়ন ও সম্প্রীতিতে বিশ্বাস করি|
