Abhishek Banerjee leads a historic padyatra in Diamond Harbour

Trinamool Youth Congress President and MP Abhishek Banerjee participated in a Maha Michhil consisting thousands of people held from Kopathat to Station More in the Diamond Harbour constituency.  The padayatra was held to express solidarity against the vandalism and disturbance being attempted by the combined force of BJP and CPM in rural Bengal.

The firebrand TMYC leader said at the end of the meeting that Trinamool Congress has the ability to will all the 294 assembly seats in the forthcoming Assembly Election in 2016 in the basis of the developmental works done under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Mr Banerjee slammed the CPM saying that the Ministers in the Left era worked part-time and never bothered to mingle with common people. He said that Mamata Banerjee will remain a guard for the common people through thick and thin.

Talking about his constituency, Mr Banerjee said that the people of Diamond Harbour had the right to know what their elected representative had done for them and how the Rs 5 crore MPLAD has been spent. So a booklet has been published and has been sent at booth-levels for the information of all. He also announced a fund of Rs 1.5 crore for the restoration and reconstruction of the Diamond Harbour Zilla Hospital morgue.

CPM will not come back to power: Abhishek Banerjee in Purulia

Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday addressed a rally at Baghmundi in Purulia where eight Panchayat Samiti members of Jhalda – I block joined the Trinamool Congress.

There was no possibility of CPM coming back to power, he said at the rally.

The Trinamool Youth Congress President has been travelling extensively all over the State, strengthening and building up newer bases for the party organization at different corners, especially in the places where the strength of the opposition had been strong.

The visit to Baghmundi by the TMYC President reiterated the truth that the opposition party members have realised that the best bet to carry on the development of an area is to follow the ethics and ideology of the Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee.

TMYC President Abhishek Banerjee slams the Centre and Left at Dumdum rally

Trinamool Youth Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee today held a mass meeting at Lichubagan Math, Gorabazar in Dum Dum.

The rally was organised by the North 24 Parganas Youth Congress where various leaders of the party highlighted the developmental programmes of the Maa Mati Manush Government and also condemned the campaign of slander and misinformation by the combined opposition of CPI(M)-BJP-Congress.

Abhishek Banerjee, who was the chief speaker of the rally, slammed the Opposition for their canards against Mamata Banerjee. “The more you attack her, the stronger she will become with the blessings of the people,” he said.

“We have strengthened every step of administration, from gram sabhas to the top most level. We want to ensure that development can flow freely to the people,” commented the TMYC President.

He added that Mamata Banerjee had fulfilled all the promises made in the Manifesto. Taking a dig at the BJP he said that the party in power at Centre is fooling people in the name of ‘achhe din’.

“Today the biggest challenge for the people of India is to bring back Modi ji from his foreign pleasure trips,” he remarked.

Just because someone is elected to from govt at Centre doesn’t mean they can tell us what to eat and what to wear, he added while slamming the Centre for rising prices of essential commodities and recent hike in rail fare.

Abhishek Banerjee maintained that TMC believed in communal harmony. “TMC stands for Temple, Mosque, Church” he commented.

Reach out to people: Abhishek Banerjee to party workers in Bankura

Party workers have to work hard to promote the message of development. This message of party Chief Mamata Banerjee was conveyed to the workers in Bankura by Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee on Friday.

Abhishek has begun his district visits where he will be addressing workshops for grassroots workers of the party. While speaking at one such meeting in Barjora, Bankura, TMYC President said: “People will decide who will sit in offices of power. Reach out to people. Work unitedly to serve people.”

He said that the party leadership had knowledge of every action by block and district leadership. He said, “A few people cannot be allowed to bring shame to the party because of their wrong actions.”

Abhishek reiterated that there is no scope for complacency in the party. 2011 elections were fought on the plank of change and 2016 will be fought on the plank of development.

He instructed workers to publicise the developmental initiatives undertaken by West Bengal government in the last four and a half years.  He asked them to go to every village and reach out to people.

Need to spread the news of developmental works: Abhishek Banerjee at Purulia

Trinamool Youth Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee conducted a workshop for the panchayet and municipal elected representatives of the party at Purulia on the adjoining grounds of the Purulia Sainik School.

He laid stress on the works undertaken by the West Bengal Government under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and urged the activists to spread the news of the developments so that all people could avail the benefits. He urged the people present to form groups of about 20-22 people in every block to carry out the campaigns. He stressed on working unitedly and respecting the party symbol.

The firebrand leader said that he will be visiting all the 20 blocks in the district of Purulia and urged that Trinamool should win in all the nine assembly seats in the forthcoming election.

He said the wave of development that the State is experiencing cannot be stopped by pelting stones.

Agnikanya Mamata Banerjee would remain an example all over the country: Abhishek

Trinamool Youth Congress President and MP Abhishek Banerjee addressed a rally organised by the south Kolkata Trinamool youth Congress at Hazra on Sunday in preparation for the Trinamool Congress’ annual Ekushe July Saheed Divas in Dharmatallah in memory of 13 Youth Congress activists who were killed in police firing on 21 July, 1993 during a law violation programme in the city.

The Youth Congress leader lashed out at the opposition and the media for what he called hatching a conspiracy against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee by “belittling” her performances in last four and a half years.

Listing the Trinamool Congress Government’s achievements, Abhishek said “the immense” contribution made by the West Bengal Chief Minister “for which the people of Bengal fondly call her the Agnikanya”, would remain an example all over the country, particularly her initiative to resolve the crises in Janmgalmahal and in Darjeeling hills, besides the innumerable developmental projects undertaken by her government.

Abhishek said he would not hesitate to praise the Trinamool Congress Chairperson considering her “selfless sacrifice to the cause of the people and exemplary courage, now-adays a rare quality among the politicians”.

Coming down heavily against the media, as also the CPI-M, BJP and Congress, he said “a conspiracy” was hatched against Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress, but hastened to add that the “war against the people will not pay”. “I find that the media and the opposition have waged a war on the Chief Minister who stands for the people and whose life is dedicated to the cause of the people.No use waging such a war against the people,” he warned.

The TMYC leader took a dig at those political leaders “who have no other job but to criticise the Chief Minister and find fault with her government only in the TV screen”, and said “I would like to ask these politicians to be answerable to the people for the job they are doing for the masses”. Recalling the contribution of Mamata in ensuring introduction of photo identity cards to voters, he said “May I ask if the opposition friends are aware of this?”

Sunday’s rally was attended by All-India Trinamool Congress Secretary-General Partha Chatterjee, Kolkata Mayor Sobhan Chatterjee, Trinamool Chief Whip in Assembly Sobhandeb Chatterjee, Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim, Trinamool President Subrata Bakshi, among party’s south Kolkata district leaders.

Will win all assembly seats from Purulia in 2016: Abhishek Banerjee

Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee held a mass meeting at Para in Purulia district. The rally was a curtain raiser for the 21st July Saheed Divas commemoration. He has been holding such meetings all over the state from North Bengal to South Bengal.

The young MP and the firebrand leader from Trinamool Congress, who is heading the youth wing of the party said that Trinamool Congrss will win all the 9 assembly seats from Purulia in the coming 2016 Assembly election. He said that the West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee has been beside the people of Bengal, from the hills to the Jangalmahal. People can never forget her dedication, he said.

State minister Shantiram Mahato and MPs Sandhya Roy and Mriganko Mahato and other Trinamool leaders were also present in the meeting.

Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee addressed a mass rally yesterday at Dakshin Barasat Football Ground, Joynagar which was a curtain raiser for the 21st July Saheed Divas commemoration calling for a more stronger resistance to the collective slander campaign by the opposition parties. “CPM-Congress-BJP are trying to take on Trinamool with their informal coalition. They have nothing to say against each other but are busy instigating violence between Hindus and Muslims. We will not let them succeed in their ill actions. The people are with us”, he said.

The Trinamool Youth Congress President said, “We will answer all attempts of slander on the 21st of July. We will begin our fight from the stage of ‘Ekushe july’. The slander against the party and the Government is increasing every day. But just as the slander is increasing, the support of the people in the party’s favour is also increasing. Our victory in the Panchayat, Lok Sabha and Municipal elections is a proof of that.”

Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee addressed a mass rally yesterday at Girja More in Asansol which was a curtain raiser for the 21st July Saheed Divas commemoration. He said, “West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee will be in power for the next 50 years due to the amount of work that has been done in the last four years. There is no place in Bengal where she has made a commitment and the work has not been done. The amount of developmental work that this State Government has done cannot be compared to the work any State Government for the last 50 years.” “The more some other parties and media houses use slander campaigning against us, the stronger will Trianmool Congress get,” he said.

He attacked the BJP by questioning why they had not protested with the Prime Minister even as he has stopped paying for the 100 days job program and has slashed the funds of most other programs. He categorically stated that the BJP’s plan of threatening with CBI and ED will not work and that the more BJP uses such tactics, the more progress will speed up in Bengal and protests gain momentum.

The Trinamool Youth Congress President stated that the Left parties do not have any existence in the state and that the people of this state have broken their limbs and spine through the democratic process and now they will not be able to stand up in the next 100 years. He went on to say that the slogan for Trinamool now is “We will work, we will fight, we will build”.

Abhishek Banerjee to address a rally at Baharampur today

Trinamool Youth Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee will hold a mass rally at Textile College More, Baharampur Town (Murshidabad district) at 2 PM today.

The meeting is a part of his district visits ahead of the 21 July Saheed Divas rally. He had earlier started the district campaign with a mass meeting at Basirhat in North 24 Parganas and Ranaghat in Nadia.

The Youth Congress President will hold similar rallies at Bardhaman, Purulia, Kushmandi, Panshkura, Jainagar, Howrah and Kolkata.
