The National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme under the Union Health ministry has lauded the efforts taken up by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) to control malaria and dengue in the areas under its jurisdiction.

The KMC’s three tier planning to combat the disease, like having special health teams in the wards and rapid action teams in the borough and in the central level was also appreciated by the Ministry.

The KMC has submitted details of 629 private nursing homes and pathological laboratories to the ministry.

To combat the spread of the disease, the KMC has identified 36 wards where special drives will be conducted against malaria and dengue.

Some of the wards where this drive will be launched are 25, 23, 61, 62, 55, 82, 74, 76, 107, 108, 109 and 104 as in these areas more dengue cases were detected last year.

The KMC has launched massive awareness programme in all the 144 wards where the people have been requested to change their water stored in containers at least once a week. Similarly, water in flower vases should also be changed once every week.

The owners of buildings have been requested to ensure that the overhead tanks and the underground reservoirs have covers. It is also conducting drives at the state-run hospitals and offices. If mosquito larvae are found, then special drives are conducted. The KMC has overall five dengue detection centres.

The civic authorities are requesting people to get their blood tested at its laboratories at free of cost and get free medicines.

 

রাজ্যের ডেঙ্গু মোকাবিলার প্রচেষ্টার প্রশংসা করল কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রক

ম্যালেরিয়া ও ডেঙ্গু নিয়ন্ত্রণ করার জন্য কলকাতা মিউনিসিপ্যাল ​​কর্পোরেশনের ন্যাশনাল ভেক্টর রোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণ কর্মসূচির বেশ প্রশংসা করল কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রক।

কলকাতা পৌরসংস্থার ত্রি-স্তরবিশিষ্ট পরিকল্পনা, বিশেষ টিম ইত্যাদি কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রণালয়ের থেকে অনেক প্রশংসা পেয়েছে।

কলকাতা পৌরসংস্থা মন্ত্রণালয়ে ৬২৯টি বেসরকারী নার্সিং হোম এবং ল্যাবরেটরিজের বিস্তারিত বিবরণ  জমা দিয়েছে।

রোগের বিস্তার যাতে না ঘটে কলকাতা পৌরসংস্থা ৩৬টি ওয়ার্ডে ম্যালেরিয়া ও ডেঙ্গু বিরুদ্ধে বিশেষ অভিযান চালানো হচ্ছে।

কিছু কিছু ওয়ার্ডে এই অভিযান শুরু করা হবে। গত বছর কিছু কিছু ওয়ার্ডে ডেঙ্গু শনাক্ত করা হয়েছে। যেমন – ২৫, ২৩, ৬১, ৬২, ৫৫, ৮২, ৭৪, ৭৬, ৭৬, ১০৭, ১০৮, ১০৯ এবং ১০৪ নং ওয়ার্ডে।

কলকাতা পৌরসংস্থা ১৪৪টি ওয়ার্ডে ব্যাপক সচেতনতা কর্মসূচি চালু করেছে। মানুষকে অনুরোধ করা হয়েছে কোথাও জমা জল না রাখতে। একইভাবে, প্রতি সপ্তাহে অন্তত একবার ফুলদানির জল পরিবর্তন করা উচিত।

বাড়ির মালিকদের ওভারহেড ট্যাংক এবং ভূগর্ভস্থ জলাধার ঢাকা দিয়ে রাখার অনুরোধ করা হয়েছে। সরকারি সব হাসপাতাল ও অফিসগুলোতেও পুরসভা তাদের সচেতনতামূলক অভিযান চালিয়েছে। যদি কোন মশার লার্ভা পাওয়া যায় তাহলে সেখানে বিশেষ অভিযান চালানো হয়েছে। কলকাতা পৌরসংস্থার  পাঁচটি ডেঙ্গু সনাক্তকরণ কেন্দ্র রয়েছে।

পৌর কর্তৃপক্ষ জানিয়েছেন, তাদের ল্যাবরেটরিতে বিনামূল্যে রক্ত পরীক্ষা করানো হচ্ছে এবং ওষুধ দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
