The State Food and Supplies Department is going to introduce a digital device ‘e-post’ to check leakage and pilfearge of food grains from ration shops to fix accountability of the employees.
Food and Supplies Minister Jyotipriyo Mullick believes this would check the corrupt practices of a section of the people selling food grains.
The department will also install GPS system on the vehicles carrying kerosene. Apart from these, the department has also taken up other new initiatives to check the leakage of supply across the state.
It may be mentioned that at present, the State Government provides 15 kg of rice per family and 20k g wheat per family at Rs 2 per kg under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana.
খাদ্যশস্য সরবরাহে দুর্নীতি বন্ধ করতে ই-পোস্ট চালু করছে রাজ্য সরকার
রেশন দোকানগুলি থেকে খাদ্যশস্য সরবরাহের ক্ষেত্রে দুর্নীতি বন্ধ করতে এবং সমস্যার সমাধানের জন্য একটি ডিজিটাল ডিভাইস ‘ই-পোস্ট’ চালু করতে চলেছে রাজ্য খাদ্য ও সরবরাহ দপ্তর।
খাদ্য ও সরবরাহ মন্ত্রী জ্যোতিপ্রিয় মল্লিক বলেন যে এর মাধ্যমে দুর্নীতি বন্ধ করা সম্ভব হবে। যারা এই খাদ্যশস্য বাইরে বিক্রি করে দিচ্ছে সেই সব দুর্নীতিগ্রস্তদের চিহ্নিত করা সম্ভব হবে।
কেরোসিনের গাড়িগুলিতে জিপিএস সিস্টেম ইনস্টল করবে খাদ্য সরবরাহ দপ্তর। এছাড়া, রাজ্য জুড়ে খাদ্যশস্য সরবরাহে দুর্নীতি রোধ করতে বিভিন্ন উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে এই দপ্তর।
উল্লেখ করা যেতে পারে যে, বর্তমানে রাজ্য সরকার ‘অন্ত্যদয় অন্ন যোজনা’-র অধীনে প্রত্যেক পরিবারকে ২ টাকা কেজি দরে ১৫ কেজি চাল এবং ২০ কেজি গম দিচ্ছে।
