The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has left no stones unturned to make proper health facilities available to the citizens of Kolkata, especially to the financially backward section. To cater health services in all possible ways to the citizens of Kolkata, is the prime objective of the Health Department of KMC, through various preventive and curative measures.
Recently, the newly organized Garden Reach Maternity Home with modern equipments and the facility of operation theatre was inaugurated by State Municipal Affairs & Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim.
A newly constructed Health Centre at Sri Kanan in Ward No.113 under Borough-XI and another newly constructed health unit at 3 S.N. Roy Road in Ward.-119 under Borough-XIII was inaugurated on 7 March.
