Trinamool observes Dhikkar Diwas against politics of violence by CPM

Trinamool Congress organised protest rallies to mark Dikkar Diwas throughout the State to counter the violence being caused by the Left parties.

On Thursday, the Dikkhar Diwas was organised at block level. Another rally will be organised in Kolkata on September 4, led by Sovan Chatterjee.

AITC Secretary General Partha Chatterjee, while informing about the Dikkar Diwas programme on Wednesday evening said that the people of Bengal do not Bandhs or political violence. CPI(I)M is taking on to such violence to keep their existence alive.

To mark protest against this Trinamool Congress has taken up the programme of Dikkar Diwas and Trinamool activists will carry black flags as a mark of protest, he said.

Incidentally, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Chairperson Ms Mamata Banerjee  while slamming the bandh culture, said that those who destroyed the infrastructure and economy of the State for 34 years have to right to terrorise people with culture of violence and hooliganism.
