WB CM invites Delhi, Bihar CMs for Bengal Global Business Summit 2016

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee has requested her Bihar counterpart to be present at the two-day Bengal Global Business Summit beginning January 7. She has also invited Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Along with the two CMs, the Prime Minister of Bhutan and delegates from US, China and Japan are likely to attend the summit, which has been conceived to rejuvenate the industrial scenario in West Bengal.

Bengal Global Business Summit 2016, to be held at the Milan Mela Grounds, will cast the spotlight on the state’s capability and readiness to take on bigger and greater business challenges.

The vision for the 2016 summit is to establish an image that embodies the essence of a new, business ready Bengal.

WB CM visits Parliament, meets the President at Delhi

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chairperson Ms Mamata Banerjee visited the Parliament today during her trip to Delhi. She went to the newly allotted room that was given to the party after demands being made for years.

She had a meeting with the party MPs at the new room which has been now decorated with picture painted by artiste and MP Jogen Chowdhury.

The Trinamool Chairperson met the heads and leaders of different polical parties including Congress, NCP, JD(U)  and AAP, while some of the leaders called on the Trinamool Chairperson at the party’s new room in Parliament.

The West Bengal Chief Minister paid a courtesy visit to the President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and wished a speedy recovery of the ailing First Lady.

At night, the West Bengal CM hosted a dinner for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at her Delhi residence, where a meeting was also held.
