West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee congratulates the people of Nadia for their innovative initiative “Sabar Souchagar” under “Mission Nirmal Bangla” which has been has shortlisted for the prestigious international UN Public Services Award, 2015.
The project has also been selected by Loughborough University, United Kingdom as “An Inspiring District Level Model for eliminating open defecation in India”. This will be presented at the 38th WEDC International Conference in London in July, 2015.
Nadia district has been in talks recently due its initiative for toilets for all i.e. “Sabar Souchagar” to make the district free from open defecation.
West Bengal Chief Minsiter Mamata Banerjee has given her best wishes to Team Nadia for this outstanding achievement.
