Mamata Banerjee on Sunday attacked the Left-Congress alliance in Dakshin Dinajpur. She is currently campaigning in north Bengal.

“CPM has become shameless,“ said Mamata Banerjee. She also sang a couple of lines from a famous folk song to hit out at CPM. “Dada paye pori re, mela theke bou ene de (brother, please bring a wife for me from the fair). CPM is now begging Congress for votes. But they don’t know that Congress can’t do that in this state,“ Mamata said addressing the crowd at Gangarampur stadium.

“CPM has forgotten the ideals of Marx and Lenin, while the Congress has shelved Gandhi. Keralae chulochuli, aar Banglay kolakuli (In Kerala they are fighting each other, in Bengal they have joined hands). Will people accept this? Never,“ she remarked.

She also highlighted the development undertaken in the last four and a half years. “They cannot showcase even four development projects in the last 34 years. On the other hand, I can give details of what we did in the last four years -it will require one Mahabharata, one Ramayana, one Bible and one Quran.“

She said: “If there was no loan burden, I could have given government jobs to 10 lakh more youths.“

Before Gangarampore, the Chairperson held rallies at Kumargram and Kushmandi also.

 

দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুরের সভায় সিপিএম-কংগ্রেসের জোটকে কটাক্ষ করলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় 

রবিবার দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুরের জনসভা থেকে সিপিএম-কংগ্রেসের জোটকে কটাক্ষ করেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। নির্বাচন উপলক্ষে উত্তরবঙ্গে প্রচার করছেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী।

সিপিএম আজ নির্লজ্জ হয়ে গেছে। এদিন গঙ্গারামপুর স্টেডিয়ামের সভামঞ্চ থেকে সিপিএম কংগ্রেসের জোটকে কটাক্ষ করে তিনি বলেন, “সিপিএম এখন দাদা পায়ে পড়ি রে, মেলা থেকে বউ (ভোট) এনে দে এই গান গাইছে। সিপিএম এখন কংগ্রেসের কাছে ভোট ভিক্ষা চাইছে। কিন্তু ওরা জানে না, কংগ্রেসের ভোটই নেই”।

তিনি আরও বলেন, “সিপিএম এখন মার্ক্সবাদ ও লেনিনবাদ ভুলে গেছে, কংগ্রেস ও আজ তাদের আদর্শকে বিক্রি করে দিয়েছে। কেরালায় চুলোচুলি করছে আর এখানে কোলাকুলি করছে। মানুষ ওদের যোগ্য জবাব দেবে”।

তিনি তার গত সাড়ে চার বছরের উন্নয়নের কর্মযজ্ঞের কথা উল্লেখ করে বলেন, “গত ৩৪ বছরে কোন উন্নয়নমূলক কাজ হয়নি। অন্যদিকে গত সাড়ে চার বছরে আমাদের আমলে যে কাজ হয়েছে তা লিখে রাখতে গেলে রামায়ণ-মহাভারত-বাইবেল লেখা হয়ে যাবে, কিন্তু লেখা শেষ হবে না”।

তিনি আরও বলেন, “যদি আমাদের ওপর কোন ঋণের বোঝা না থাকতো, তাহলে আমি আরও ১০ লক্ষ যুবক-যুবতীদের চাকরি দিতে পারতাম।

গঙ্গারামপুরের আগে, তৃণমূল নেত্রী দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুরের কুমারগ্রাম ও কুশমুণ্ডিতে জনসভা করেন।
