Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Cooch Behar and Alipurduar during her north Bengal visit starting today and hold administrative review meetings in both the districts. She is also said to be attending public rallies from where she will be distributing benefits to people as well.

The Bengal government had taken up several projects to ensure overall development of the districts. Banerjee will be taking stock of the development projects, works of which are going on in full swing in the districts. Alipurduar is a new district that has been carved out of Jalpaiguri and this is the 20th district of the state that came into existence on June 25, 2014.

The state government had prepared a comprehensive plan to ensure proper development of the new district. During her visit, the Chief Minister will be giving emphasis on those projects that have been taken up for the overall development of the newly-formed district including better communication facilities and healthcare system. She will also be taking stock on the progress of the work done in those projects. Most of the enclaves that came under the Indian Territory in 2014 lie in Cooch Behar.  The state government had taken up several projects including supply of power, construction of roads and distribution of ration cards among the enclave dwellers.  The Chief Minister will also be taking stock of the progress of the development work taken up for the enclaves.  She will also be addressing meeting with officials who are in-charges of executing the work in the enclaves and would plan the future road map for the overall development of the region.

 

আজ উত্তরবঙ্গ সফরে যাচ্ছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

উন্নয়নের ডালি নিয়ে আজ ফের উত্তরবঙ্গ সফরে যাচ্ছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এই সফরে কোচবিহার ও আলিপুরদুয়ার জেলায় প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এছাড়া জনসভাও করবেন এবং সেখান থেকে সাধারণ মানুষের হাতে বিভিন্ন সরকারী পরিষেবা তুলে দেবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

২০১৪ সালের ২৫ জুন ২০ তম জেলা হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি পায় আলিপুরদুয়ার। এই জেলার বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের উন্নয়নের কাজ খতিয়ে দেখবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। আজ সন্ধ্যায় নেতাজী সুভাষ ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে কোচবিহার জেলা নিয়ে প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক রয়েছে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর।

আগামীকাল কোচবিহার জেলার রাসমেলার মাঠে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে সংবর্ধনা দেওয়া হবে এবং এরপর একটি জনসভা করবেন তিনি।

Soon, Bengal will be among the first few states to complete the rural electrification project successfully.  Come June and the project will witness completion with state Power minister Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay laying emphasis that the rural electrification work is all set to be complete as soon as infrastructure in four villages of Sunderban area gets over.

This apart, the electrification work is more or less complete throughout the state. “Infrastructural works have been going on in four islands. The work is expected to be completed by the end of June this year. The Power department has been facing hurdles in some parts as many villagers were reluctant to get an electricity connection due to financial constraints. Despite the challenges, the state government will achieve 100 percent electricity coverage by June,” the Minister added.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, after coming to the power, had asked the power department to provide electricity to the entire Sunderbans area through power grid. Banerjee had taken a pledge to electrify each and every village across the state. The state government is trying hard to resolve the issues with the involvement of local panchayat functionaries and the zilla parishads.

According to West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), state’s nodal distribution agency, the total number of subscribers has gone up to 1.72 crore from around 88 lakh in 2011. A few years ago, the pace of electrification work in Bengal was quite slow in comparison to the other states in the country but Trinamool government has done a major revamp in infrastructure development.

 

রাজ্যে গ্রামীণ বৈদ্যুতিকরনের প্রকল্পের কাজ শেষ হবে জুন মাসে

খুব শীঘ্রই গ্রামীণ বৈদ্যুতিকরন প্রকল্পের কাজ সম্পন্ন করবে বাংলা। আগামী জুন মাসেই শেষ হবে সেই কাজ। যত তাড়াতাড়ি এই কাজ সম্পন্ন করা যায় তার ওপর জোর দিচ্ছেন বিদ্যু९ মন্ত্রী শোভনদেব চট্টোপাধ্যায়। সুন্দরবন অঞ্চলের চার’টি গ্রামে বিদ্যুতের পরিকাঠামো তৈরীর কাজ শেষ হলেই এই প্রকল্পের কাজ শেষ হবে।

এ ছাড়া রাজ্যের অন্যান্য জায়গাতেও এই প্রকল্পের কাজ প্রায় শেষ। মন্ত্রী জানান, “এই চার’টি জায়গায় পরিকাঠামো তৈরীর কাজ চলছে, আশা করা হচ্ছে এই বছরের জুন মাসের শেষের দিকে এই কাজ শেষ হয়ে যাবে। অর্থনৈতিক কারনে অনেক গ্রামবাসীই বিদ্যুতের ব্যাপারে আগ্রহী নন তাই বিদ্যু९ দপ্তরকে বেশ কিছু বাধার সম্মুখীন হতে হচ্ছে। তবু এত বাধা সত্ত্বেও আগামী জুনের মধ্যেই রাজ্যের ১০০ শতাংশ অঞ্চলে পৌঁছে যাবে বিদ্যু९।”

ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকেই মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পরিচালিত তৃণমূল সরকার পাওয়ার গ্রিডের মাধ্যমে পুরো সুন্দরবন অঞ্চলে বিদ্যু९ পৌঁছে দিতে উদ্যোগী হয়। রাজ্য সরকার পঞ্চায়েত ও জেলা পারিষদদের সহযোগিতায় এই কাজ দ্রুতগতিতে শেষ করতে চাইছে।

রাজ্য বিদ্যুত পর্ষদের তথ্য অনুযায়ী বিদ্যু९ গ্রাহকের সংখ্যা বেড়ে এই মুহূর্তে হয়েছে প্রায় ১.৭২ কোটি যা ২০১১পর্যন্ত ছিল মাত্র ৮৮ লক্ষ। কিছু বছর আগে পর্যন্ত রাজ্যে গ্রামীণ বৈদ্যুতিকরনের কাজ ছিল অন্যান্য রাজ্যের তুলনায় খুবই মন্থর  গতির। কিন্তু তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস রাজ্যের দায়িত্ব পাওয়ার পর থেকে এই পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের কাজে এসেছে এক নতুন গতি।

The organisational election of the Trinamool Congress was held today where Mamata Banerjee was unanimously elected the Chairperson of the party.

The programme was held at Netaji Indoor Stadium. Trinamool Congress was set up in 1998 and Mamata Banerjee has been elected the Chairperson of the party in 2001, 2006 and 2011 in the past. The next election will be held after 6 years.

Didi said she considers herself a worker of the party. Our workers are our biggest assets, she added.

তৃণমূলের সর্বভারতীয় সভানেত্রী নির্বাচিত হলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ তৃণমূলের সাংগঠনিক নির্বাচনে দলের সর্বভারতীয় সভানেত্রী নির্বাচিত হন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

আজ নেতাজি ইন্ডোর স্টেডিয়ামে দলের কর্মীদের উদ্দেশে বক্তব্য রাখেন তিনি। ১৯৯৮ সালে তৃণমূল দলটি তৈরী হওয়ার পর ২০০১, ২০০৬ ও ২০১১ সালে দলের সর্বভারতীয় সভানেত্রী নির্বাচিত হন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

দিদি বলেন তিনি দলের এক কর্মী মাত্র। দলের কর্মীরাই সবচেয়ে বড় সম্পদ।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated the newly-constructed open air stage – Uttirna – at Alipore. Uttirna is a state-of-the-art open-air stage with the capacity to accommodate 1,968 people at a time and it is one of the dream projects of the Chief Minister.

Uttirna comprises a stage, green room, banquet hall, food court, media centre, cafetaria, conference room and other services. Uttirna is part of the ‘Dhana Dhanyo’ project being carried out by the Public Works Department.

The state government for the first time held a programme on the occasion of Civil Services Day at Uttirna today. It was be attended by officials of the West Bengal Civil Service, Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service and dignitaries of the cultural field.

 

The salient points of Mamata Banerjee’s speech:

  • Our civil services cadets are like our family members. We are proud of them.
  • This place was a waste land before. We have turned it into an open-air theatre now.
  • Conferences and exhibitions can be held at Uttirna. It has a seating capacity of 2,000.
  • We are also building a stadium, ‘Dhana Dhanyo’ with a seating capacity of 3,000.
  • We are also setting up ‘Saujanya’ – a State Government guest house – at Hastings.
  • We respect all languages but we cannot forget our own language and our roots. We must respect Bengali.
  • We are setting up a convention centre of international standards at New Town. We have set up Mother’s Wax Museum there.
  • We have set up 41 multi super hospitals, 300 SNCUs, 60 SNSUs, polytechnics, ITIs, 66 colleges, 15 universities.
  • There is a lot of potential in Bengal. We want more IAS and IPS officers to come to the State.
  • We have registered 80,000 folk artistes under the Lok Prasar Scheme. We will register 1 lakh more artistes.
  • Health care is free in Bengal. Even private hospitals are covered under the Swasthya Sathi Scheme.
  • We have started paternity leaves for State Government employees.
  • Civil services cadets are sent to Singapore for training.
  • Civil services officers form the policy implementation groups of the State Government.
  • We have conducted over 160 meetings at the block level covering all the districts. This is a precedent for other States.
  • We have set up 26 helipads in the State.
  • We are setting up airports in Malda, Balurghat and Cooch Behar.
  • We are developing six theme cities across the State.
  • From day one, we have worked for e-governance. We received the Golden Peacock Award for e-services.
  • Scholarships like Kanyashree and Yuvashree, pensions and salaries are all paid online.
  • There are 716 villages in Bengal without banks or post offices, so we cannot insist on cashless payment there.
  • Eight crore people in Bengal receive rice at Rs 2 per kg.
  • We are bearing the burden of a huge debt. But still we are following FRBM and working for the people.
  • We need more and more civil services officers. They create employment opportunities for others.
  • Every year we will observe Civil Services Day at Uttirna.

 

আজ ‘উত্তীর্ণ’ মুক্তমঞ্চের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ আলিপুরে ‘উত্তীর্ণ’ মুক্তমঞ্চের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। ২০০০ আসন বিশিষ্ট এই ৫ তলা মুক্তমঞ্চটি পূর্ত দপ্তরের ‘ধন ধান্য’ প্রকল্পের অন্তর্গত।

‘উত্তীর্ণ’ তে থাকছে একটি স্টেজ, গ্রীন রুম, ব্যাংকোয়েট হল, কনফারেন্স রুম, মিডিয়া সেন্টার, ক্যাফেটেরিয়া, ফুড কোর্ট ও অন্যান্য পরিষেবা।

আজ ‘উত্তীর্ণ’ তে রাজ্য সরকার সিভিল সার্ভিস দিবস উদযাপন করে।

The Bengal government has decided to set up a unit of Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) in Jalpaiguri to cater to large number of the students in various districts in north Bengal.

State Finance Minister Dr Amit Mitra announced that a branch of the NSOU will soon be opened in north Bengal which will help the students there.

The state government is taking proactive steps to ensure that the new branch of the NSOU is opened as early as possible. The step was taken by the government keeping in the mind that large number of students from various parts of north Bengal seek higher studies and apply in other branches of the university.

 

জলপাইগুড়িতে নেতাজি সুভাষ মুক্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শাখা গড়বে রাজ্য সরকার

উত্তর বঙ্গের বিভিন্ন জেলার ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের জন্য জলপাইগুড়িতে নেতাজি সুভাষ মুক্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের একটি শাখা খোলার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।

রাজ্যের অর্থমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র এ কথা ঘোষণা করেন।

এই শাখাটি যথা সম্ভব তাড়াতাড়ি খোলার চেষ্টা করছে রাজ্য সরকার। এই পদক্ষেপ নেওয়ার মূল উদ্দেশ্য হল উত্তর বঙ্গের বিভিন্ন জেলার বিপুল সংখ্যক উৎসাহী ছাত্র ছাত্রী অন্যান্য জেলায় পড়ার জন্য আবেদন করছে।

The Benngal Transport department on Wednesday introduced another set of 22 bike taxis that will serve as last-mile connectivity vehicles in Rajarhat and New  Town respectively.

The Transport department had already introduced around 21 bike taxis for Rajarhat and New Town on March 16. The bike taxis were named as K Bike Taxi.

The state Transport department had framed a set of guidelines that all the operators of bike taxis will have to follow. Such guidelines have been framed considering the safety and security of passengers.

Panic buttons have been made mandatory in the bike taxis and at the same time the fare will also be controlled by the transport department. Moreover, riders of the bike taxis will carry an additional helmet that the pillion rider might need to put on while availing the service. At the same time, raincoats for pillion riders during the monsoon season will also be provided.

নিউটাউন রাজারহাটে চালু হল আরও ২২টি বাইক ট্যাক্সি। ইতিমধ্যেই মার্চ মাসে রাজ্য পরিবহণ দপ্তর রাজারহাট ও নিউটাউনের পরিবহণের সুবিধার্থে চালু করে বাইক ট্যাক্সি পরিষেবা। বাইক ট্যাক্সি গুলির পোশাকি নাম রাখা হয়েছে ‘কে বাইক ট্যাক্সি’।

রাজ্য পরিবহণ সংস্থা কিছু নিয়মাবলী তৈরি করেছেন যা সকল বাইক ট্যাক্সি’কে মেনে চলতে হবে। এই নিয়মাবলীগুলি তৈরি করা হয়েছে যাত্রীদের সুরক্ষা ও নিরাপত্তার কথা মাথায় রেখে।

বাইক ট্যাক্সিতে থাকছে একটি প্যানিক বোতাম; পাশাপাশি ভাড়া নিয়ন্ত্রণ করবে রাজ্য পরিবহণ দপ্তর। এছাড়া বাইক ট্যাক্সিতে একটি অতিরিক্ত হেলমেট রাখতে হবে যেটা যাত্রী পরবেন ও বর্ষাকালের কথা মাথায় রেখে এই বাইক ট্যাক্সিতে যাত্রীদের জন্য একটি রেনকোটও থাকবে।

The footfall at Eco Park has crossed the 75 lakh mark according to a statistics issued by the Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO). Exactly 75,01,629 have visited the Eco Park.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the park on December 29, 2012 and it was thrown open to public from January 1, 2013. The park was set up on a 480-acre land and is surrounded by 112 acres of waterbody.

The park has become the most attractive destination for both domestic and foreign tourists because of its uniqueness. There are flower gardens and mystic gardens and the new addition will be a hibiscus garden. There is an arena where people can enjoy cycling and also a joggers’ ally. There is a zone for other indoor games as well and people can go for boating inside the park.

Two restaurants, Café Ekanta renamed by Chief Minister and a houseboat restaurant offer mouthwatering dishes. The USP of Eco Park is cleanliness. A person littering or throwing soiled papers and plastic outside waste bins are fined.

 

নিউটাউন ইকোপার্কে পর্যটকের সংখ্যা ছাড়াল ৭৫ লক্ষ

নিউটাউনের এক পার্ক এখন এক জমজমাট পর্যটন কেন্দ্র। ২০১২ সালে এই পার্কের উদ্বোধনের পর থেকে এখানে এখন অবধি ৭৫ লক্ষেরও বেশি মানুষ এসেছেন, এমনটাই দাবি হিডকোর।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ২০১২ সালের ২৯শে ডিসেম্বর এই পার্কটির উদ্বোধন করেন ও ২০১৩ সালের ১লা জানুয়ারি সাধারন মানুষের জন্য পার্কটি খুলে দেওয়া হয়। ১১২ একরের একটি জলাশয়কে ঘিরে ৪৮০ একর জমিতে তৈরী হয়েছে এই পার্কটি।

ইতিমধ্যেই এক পার্ক দেশী ও বিদেশী পর্যটকদের মন জয় করে নিয়েছে। এখানে আছে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ফুলের বাগান, জগিং ও সাইক্লিং করার জায়গা, বিভিন্ন ইনডোর গেমস। পাশাপাশি মানুষ এখানে বোটিংও করতে পারেন। ভোজনরসিকদের জন্য এখানে আছে নানা খাবারের সম্ভার; রয়েছে ক্যাফে একান্তে।

পার্কের পরিচ্ছন্নতা একে করে তুলেছে দর্শকদের কাছে আরও মনোগ্রাহী। কেউ নির্দিষ্ট স্থান ছাড়া নোংরা ফেললে বা কোনও ভাবে পার্কটিকে অপরিচ্ছন্ন করলে তাকে ফাইন দিতে হয়।

The Bengal Government will soon export 1,000 Mega Watt (MW) electricity to various neighbouring countries including Nepal and Bhutan. Meanwhile, the capacity of the export of electricity to Bangladesh will also be increased.

The power plants in Bengal have been generating nearly around 7,000 MW of electricity every day on an average and private power plants around 11,000 MW.  During peak hours, the state needs nearly 9,000 MW a day. Bengal ranks second after Maharashtra in terms of production of electricity without the assistance of the Centre.

Bengal is among the few Indian states to have surplus power which is a major achievement as it has been viewed by many. Production of power in the State has gone up in the last few years.

 

নেপাল, ভুটানে ১০০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ করবে বাংলা

শীঘ্রই নেপাল ও ভুটান সহ বিভিন্ন প্রতিবেশী দেশগুলোকে ১০০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ করবে রাজ্য সরকার। এর পাশাপাশি বাংলাদেশে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহের পরিমাণও বৃদ্ধি করা হবে।

বাংলার সরকারী পাওয়ার প্ল্যান্ট গুলি প্রতিদিনে প্রায় ৭০০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন করে এবং বেসরকারী পাওয়ার প্ল্যান্ট গুলি প্রতিদিনে প্রায় ১১০০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন করে। একটি কর্মব্যস্ত দিনে প্রায় ৯০০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎ প্রয়োজন রাজ্যের।  কেন্দ্রের সহযোগিতা ছাড়া বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলার স্থান (দ্বিতীয়) মহারাষ্ট্রের পরেই।

ভারতবর্ষের কয়েকটি মাত্র রাজ্যের মধ্যে বাংলা একটি যেখানে পাওয়ার সারপ্লাস আছে যা নিঃসন্দেহে একটি বড় অ্যাচিভমেন্ট। গত কয়েক বছরে রাজ্যের বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনও বেড়েছে।

The Bengal Government has introduced Social Security Yojana by converging five separate beneficiary schemes for workers in the unorganised sectors and for self-employed people. Around 5 crore people will benefit from the Yojana, with around 1 crore getting direct benefits.

People will derive more benefits from this new scheme, as compared to the five earlier schemes. Dr Amit Mitra, the State Finance Minister, said: “The decision in this regard was taken during Monday’s Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. State Assistance Scheme for Provident Fund for Unorganised Sector, West Bengal Unorganised Sector Workers’ Health Security Scheme, Social Security scheme for Construction Workers, West Bengal Transport Workers Social Security Scheme and West Bengal Bidi Workers Welfare Scheme are being converged.”

In between 2011 to 2016, the Trinamool Congress Government spent Rs 880 crore to bring more than 85 lakh people under the schemes. Dr Mitra said workers from 46 unorganised sectors including bidi workers, book-binding workers, motor mechanics, boatmen and ICDS workers, as well as self-employed people from 15 sectors including the jewellery manufacturing sector and amins (who also provide education), will benefit from this new all-encompassing scheme.  Among the benefits will be educational benefits for the children of the workers, financial support for the marriage of two daughters and health cards for getting treatment from Government hospitals.

It came to the knowledge of the State Government that members of the same family were deriving the same benefits under different schemes of different departments of the State Government. Hence the decision was taken to merge five existing schemes.

The State Government has started another scheme – State Nutrition Mission. The step has been taken to ensure distribution of nutritious food among pregnant women, lactating mothers, children below six years and adolescent girls. Dr Mitra said this decision too was taken during the Cabinet meeting on Monday. The Chief Minister has spoken to representatives of UNICEF, which is working together with the State Government in implementing the State Nutrition Mission.

পাঁচটি প্রকল্প একত্রিত করে রাজ্য সরকার সূচনা করলেন সামাজিক সুরক্ষা যোজনা। এই যোজনার মাধ্যমে উপকৃত হবেন অসংগঠিত ক্ষেত্রের কর্মীরা ও স্বনির্ভর কর্মীরা। সর্বসাকুল্যে আনুমানিক পাঁচ কোটি মানুষ উপক্রিত হবেন।

আগের পাঁচটি প্রকল্পে মানুষরা যতটা উপকৃত হতেন, এই নতুন প্রকল্পের আওতায় এসে তারা আরও বেশি হবেন। অর্থমন্ত্রী ডাঃ অমিত মিত্র বলেন, “মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্তে সোমবারে অনুষ্ঠিত মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠকে এই সিদ্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয়। স্টেট অ্যাসিস্টেন্স স্কিম ফর প্রভিডেন্ট ফান্ড ফর আনঅরগানাইসড সেক্টর, ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল আনঅরগানাইসড সেক্টর ওয়ার্কার্স হেলথ সিকিউরিটি স্কিম, সোশ্যাল সিকিউরিটি স্কিম ফর কন্সট্রাকশন ওয়ার্কার্স, ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল ট্রান্সপোর্ট ওয়ার্কার্স সোশ্যাল সিকিউরিটি স্কিম ও ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল বিড়ি ওয়ার্কার্স ওয়েলফেয়ার স্কিম- এই পাঁচটি প্রকল্পকে একত্রিত করা হল।”

২০১১ থেকে ২০১৬র মধ্যে তৃণমূল পরিচালিত রাজ্য সরকার ৮৫ লক্ষ কর্মীকে এই পাঁচটি প্রকল্পের আওতায় আনতে ব্যায় করেছে ৮৮০ কোটি টাকা। অমিত মিত্র বলেন, ৪৬টি বিভিন্ন অসংগঠিত ক্ষেত্রের কর্মীরা এবং ১৫টি স্বনির্ভর ক্ষেত্রের কর্মীরা এই নতুন প্রকল্পের ফলে উপকৃত হবেন। বিভিন্ন ধরনের সুবিধার মধ্যে, নতুন যোজনায় অর্ন্তভুক্ত কর্মীদের সন্তানরা শিক্ষাগত সুবিধা পাবে, তাদের দুই কন্যা সন্তানের বিবাহক্ষেত্রে অর্থসাহায্য দেওয়া হবে এবং তাদের হেলথ কার্ড দেওয়া হবে।

রাজ্য সরকার আরো একটি সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে – স্টেট নিউট্রিশন মিশন চালু করার। এই পদক্ষেপের মাধ্যমে ছয় বছরের নিচের শিশু, কিশোরী এবং গর্ভবতী ও দুগ্ধবতী মহিলাদের মধ্যে পুষ্টিকর খাদ্য বিতরন করা হবে। অমিত মিত্র জানান, এ’দিনের মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠকে এই সিদ্ধান্তও গৃহীত হয়। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ইউনিসেফ-এর প্রতিনিধিদের সঙ্গে কথা বলেন। এই সংস্থা ও রাজ্য সরকার একত্রে স্টেট নিউট্রিশন মিশন প্রকল্পের কাজ করছে।

Bengal Government is introducing an e-pension system for primary and secondary teachers and non-teaching staff, which will benefit nearly 4 lakh employees in the education sector. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee informed through social media that it takes around 2-3 years to receive a Pension Payment Order due to the manual nature of verification by different authorities. Through the new e-Pension Portal, the whole process will be online and paperless, bringing total transparency and cutting down on time. Gratuity will be paid immediately on the date of retirement and the pensions will be released in the bank accounts on the due dates, starting from after the completion of the first month after retirement, she informed.

“We started e-governance actively in 2012 for introducing transparency and efficiency in government services.

We are the first State in the country to use the e-Kuber of RBI. The State is proud to have received the Golden Peacock in 2016 for e-services in taxation.

In continuance of such initiatives, Bengal is introducing an online e-Pension system for primary and secondary teachers and non-teaching staff, which will benefit nearly 4 lakh employees in the education sector.

Now, it takes around 2-3 years to receive a Pension Payment Order due to the manual nature of verification by different authorities.

With our new e-Pension Portal, the whole process will be online and paperless, bringing total transparency and cutting down on time.

প্রাথমিক ও মাধ্যমিক স্তরের সমস্ত শিক্ষক ও অশিক্ষক কর্মচারীদের জন্য চালু হল ই-পেনশন পরিষেবা: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

প্রাথমিক ও মাধ্যমিক স্তরের সকল শিক্ষক ও অশিক্ষক কর্মচারীদের জন্য রাজ্য সরকার চালু করল ই-পেনশন পরিষেবা। এর ফলে শিক্ষা দপ্তরের প্রায় ৪ লক্ষ মানুষ উপকৃত হবেন। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ার মাধ্যমে এই পরিষেবাটির কথা ঘোষণা করেন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জানান, এতদিন বিভিন্ন নথি পরীক্ষা করা হত বিভিন্ন দপ্তরে। এই প্রক্রিয়ায় কোনও অবসরপ্রাপ্ত সরকারি কর্মীর পেনশন পেমেন্ট অর্ডার পেতে দুই থেকে তিন বছর সময় লাগত।

এই নতুন পরিষেবায় সব কাজ হবে অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে। এর ফলে বজায় থাকবে স্বচ্ছতা ও লাগবে অনেক কম সময়। অবসরের দিনেই হাতে মিলবে গ্র্যাচুইটি’র অর্থ। অবসরের এক মাস পর থেকেই নির্দিষ্ট দিনে ব্যাঙ্কে পৌঁছে যাবে পেনশনের টাকা।
