The festive season will see no load-shedding in Bengal, said State Power Minister Sobhandeb Chatterjee, on Sunday. The State Power department is all prepared to light the city and villages in the festival season.

“We are a power surplus state now. We are ready with the infrastructure of zero power cuts during Durga Puja. There should not be any problem,” the Minister said.

West Bengal has recorded surplus power. West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has surplus power, measuring around 1,000 MW, informed the Minister.

The Minister also added that the State can sell the power to other states and distribute the power to national power grid (Power Grid Corporation of India Limited). The State produces around 30,000 million units. The State either banks the surplus power outside or sells it to power exchanges.

The Government has also been developing a power bank. With the addition of new power units the total power generation in Bengal will get a boost and the state will be able to supply surplus power to other states.

 

 

পুজোয় রাজ্যে লোডশেডিং হবে না: বিদ্যু९ মন্ত্রী

এ বছর পুজোর সময় কোনো বিদ্যু९-ঘাটতি হবে না। মাননীয় বিদ্যু९ মন্ত্রী শোভনদেব চ্যাটার্জী এ কথা জানান। উত্সবের দিনগুলিতে শহর ও গ্রামাঞ্চলকে আলোকিত রাখতে প্রস্তুত রাজ্য বিদ্যু९ পর্ষদ।

“আমাদের রাজ্যে এই মুহুর্তে অতিরিক্ত বিদ্যু९ মজুদ আছে, আমাদের এখন যা পরিকাঠামো আছে, তাতে কোনো বিদ্যু९ ঘাটতি হবে না ও কোনো ধরণের সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হতে হবে না” জানালেন মন্ত্রী।

তিনি আরো জানান, রাজ্যের কাছে অতিরিক্ত বিদ্যু९ মজুত আছে, রাজ্য বিদ্যু९ পর্ষদ প্রায় ১০০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যু९ তার ভাঁড়ারে বাঁচিয়ে রেখেছে।

তিনি বলেন, রাজ্য এখন অন্যান্য রাজ্যকে বিদ্যু९ বিক্রি করতে পারে বা national power grid (Power Grid Corporation of India Limited) কে বিদ্যু९ বিলি করতে পারে। রাজ্য মোটামুটি ৩০ হাজার মিলিয়ন ইউনিট বিদ্যু९ তৈরী করে, বেশি হলে  তারা বাইরের বিদ্যু९ ব্যাঙ্কে তা জমা করে বা বিক্রি করে।

রাজ্য বিদ্যু९ ব্যাঙ্ক তৈরীর কাজ শুরু করে দিয়েছে। নতুন কেন্দ্রগুলি তৈরী হওয়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে রাজ্যের বিদ্যু९ উ९পাদন বাড়বে ও অতিরিক্ত বিদ্যু९ অন্যান্য রাজ্যকে বিক্রি করতে সক্ষম হবে।

The preparations for celebrating the Singur Diwas on September 14 are going on in full swing.

The state government has been working on the land survey work on a war footing following the order of the Chief Minister, who before undertaking her Europe tour had instructed the senior ministers to visit the place to inspect the progress in work.

During her absence, senior ministers had visited the spot and inspected the progress of land survey. They also reviewed the arrangements for the victory day celebration on September 14 when the Chief Minister is scheduled to take part in rally in Singur.

It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will hold a high level meeting with the senior ministers and the officials of the government at Nabanna to take a stock of the progress in the work.

 

সিঙ্গুর দিবস পালনের প্রস্তুতি চলছে জোরকদমে

আগামী ১৪ তারিখ সিঙ্গুর দিবস পালনের প্রস্তুতি চলছে জোরকদমে।

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশে প্রায় যুদ্ধকালীন তত্পরতায় জমি পর্যবেক্ষণের কাজ চলছে, উনি ইউরোপ যাওয়ার পূর্বেই মন্ত্রিদের নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন সিঙ্গুর গিয়ে কাজের গতি সরেজমিনে পরিদর্শন করতে।

গত এক সপ্তাহে বিভিন্ন মন্ত্রীরা সিঙ্গুর দিবস পালনের প্রস্তুতিও তদারকি করে এসেছেন।

আজ মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নবান্নে মন্ত্রী ও আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গে উচ্চপর্যায়ের একটি বৈঠক করবেন। সেই বৈঠকে সিঙ্গুরে জমি জরিপের কাজের অগ্রগতির খতিয়ান দেবেন আধিকারিকরা।

On September 5, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee left for Germany from Rome, where she had gone to attend the canonisation of Mother Teresa, on the invitation of two of the leading German chambers of commerce — BVMW and the Association of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK).

Accompanying her, among others, were State Finance Minister Dr Amit Mitra, Mayor of Kolkata and the Housing and Environment Minister, Sovan Chatterjee, and MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay, departmental secretaries, a 29-member delegation of industrialists and members of the press.

Discussions in Dusseldorf

State Finance Minister Dr Amit Mitra invited German businessmen on Monday to attend the 3rd Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) scheduled to be held in the city on January 20 next year.

Dr Mitra held discussions with two important ministers of one of the economically crucial States of Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia – Gunther Horzetzky, Minister of Economic Affairs, Energy, Industry, SMEs and Crafts, and Norbert Walter Borjans, Minister of Finance.

Meeting with BMW

On September 6, Dr Amit Mitra, accompanied by Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary, Mayor of Kolkata, Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay and other delegates, and senior officials of BMP participated in a three-hour-long meeting-cum-presentation-cum-plant visit.

According to Dr Mitra, “The meeting was productive. We will carry the talks forward”. Later, he also invited his counterpart in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia to Bengal Global Business Summit 2017.

Munich meeting

Mamata Banerjee made an impassioned plea to investors, both foreign and those in the country, to invest in the State and assured them that her Government would pull out all stops to help and support investors.

Giving a personal touch to her fervent plea, the Chief Minister said, “Please consider me as your sister. Consider Bengal as your home. Bengal is the destination”.

Investment potentials galore

On September 8, an interactive session was organised by the Government of West Bengal, the Indian Consulate-General in Munich, the German chamber of commerce, BVMW and the Indian chamber of commerce, FICCI in Munich.

More than 60 German companies were present to interact with the officials of the State Government and with the business delegates of Bengal. The seminar was followed by a meeting with Dr Gisela Splett, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the state of Baden-Wurttemberg.

Another meeting took place with the management of Breuninger Department Store in Munich, where a Biswa Bangla store is being planned to be opened soon.

সিস্টার সিটি

ডুসেলডর্ফ শহরের সঙ্গে তিলোত্তমা কলকাতার ‘সিস্টার সিটি’ হওয়ার বিষয়টি নিয়ে মৌ সাক্ষর  করেন কলকাতার মেয়র ও মন্ত্রী শোভন চট্টোপাধ্যায়। আগামী বছর কলকাতায় যে বিশ্ববঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন হচ্ছে সেখানে জার্মান শিল্পপতিদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে আসার জন্য ডুসেলডর্ফের মেয়রকে আমন্ত্রণ জানান বাংলার মেয়র। কলকাতার মেয়র শোভন চট্টোপাধ্যায় বলেন কলকাতাকে পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন ও সবুজায়ন করার লক্ষ্যে বেশ কিছু পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে।

বিএমডবলুর সঙ্গে ৩ ঘন্টার বৈঠক

বিএমডবলুর উচ্চপদস্থ আধিকারিকদের সাথে তিন ঘন্টার বৈঠক করেন বাংলার এক প্রতিনিধি দল। রাজ্যের অর্থ ও শিল্পমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র বলেন বাংলায় বিনিয়োগ বিএমডবলুর করতে জন্য সব দরজা খোলা। বিএমডবলুর আধিকারিকরা অনেকগুলি প্রেসেন্টেশন দেখান। তিনি আরও জানান যে বাংলা বিএমডাবলুর সাথে ‘সাস্টেন্ড রিলেশনশিপ’ চায়। ইলেকট্রিক গাড়ি ও বাইক প্রকল্পে আগ্রহী বিএমডবলু, বলেন অমিত মিত্র।

শিল্প সম্মেলন

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উদ্যোগে মিউনিখের সিটি সেণ্টারে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এক শিল্প সম্মেলন। বহু ভারতীয় ও জার্মান সংস্থা এই সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

গাড়ি শিল্পের পাশাপাশি বাংলায় ম্যানুফ্যাকচারিং শিল্প গড়তে, কারখানার  সঙ্গে সঙ্গে , অনুসারী শিল্প করতেওও জার্মান শিল্পোদ্যোগীদের আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। তিনি বলেন বাংলা পূর্ব এশিয়ার প্রবেশপথ। এখানে কারখানা করলে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ তো বটেই, ভারত এবং দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার বাজার পাবেন। তিনি জানান বাংলায় ল্যান্ডব্যাঙ্ক রয়েছে, জল, বিদ্যুত্, আলো প্রচুর আছে। বিনিয়োগের উপযুক্ত জায়গা রয়েছে।

সম্মেলনে বাংলার শিল্পপতিদের অনেকে গত ৫ বছরে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে এই সরকারের কাজের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেছেন। বলেছেন, তাঁদের এই সরকারের সময়ে কাজ করতে কোনও অসুবিধা হয়নি। সরকার এবং মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জির সবরকম সহযোগিতা তাঁরা যখনই চেয়েছেন, পেয়েছেন।

বিশ্ব বাংলা  এবার জার্মানিতেও

বৃহস্পতিবার  মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বার্তা নিয়ে জার্মানির দক্ষিণ প্রান্তের শহর স্টুটগার্টে একটি শিল্পসভায় গিয়েছিল রাজ্য সরকারের শিল্প-প্রতিনিধিদল ৷ সেই শিল্পসভায় জার্মানির ৬০টি সংস্থা ছিল৷ তারা প্রত্যেকেই বাংলা সম্পর্কে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছে৷ অমিতবাবু বলেন শিল্পসভায় একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে৷ এখন থেকে বিশ্ববাংলার প্রোডাক্টগুলি বার্লিন, মিউনিখ, বন-সহ জার্মানির বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শহরে সরকারি-বেসরকারি বিপণিতে পাওয়া যাবে৷ এই ব্যাপারে এদিন একটি চুক্তি হয়েছে৷ বাংলার কুটির ও হস্তশিল্প সম্পর্কে জার্মান শিল্পপতিদের মধ্যে আকর্ষণ তৈরি হয়েছে৷

বিগত ৩৪ বছরের কর্মনাশা কর্মসংস্কৃতিকে পরাজিত করে মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের  ঐকান্তিক চেষ্টায়  গত পাঁচ বছরে বাংলা আজ অনেকটাই স্বনির্ভর, ২০১৫-১৬ আর্থিক বর্ষে দেশের উন্নতির হার যেখানে মাত্র ৭.৩% আমাদের রাজ্যে  সেখানে ১২.০২%, সেই উন্নতির ধারা কে অব্যাহত রাখতে এই জার্মানি সফর নিশ্চই আরো অনেক সাহায্য করবে।

Just before the Durga Puja, the state government is all set to organise another edition of ‘Banglar Tanter Haat’ – a fair, where the weavers of Bengal will showcase their amazing creations.

The organiser is the state micro, small and medium enterprise and textiles department. The minister of micro, small and medium enterprise, will inaugurate the fair on Sunday.

The fair has been the centre of attraction for women, as various varieties of Saaris and Salwar and other traditional apparels are showcased here. Milan Mela – the state government’s designated fair zone just off to Eastern Metropolitan Bypass – is the venue of Banglar Tanter Haat.

The weavers across the state will participate in the Haat and will sell their product. The urban population is in love with their production. A huge turnout in the fair is expected this year as it is being held just before the festive season.

But not only the woman but the men would also be happy with variety of the clothes in the haat. Various men apparels including Dhuti, Punjabi and wide variety of Fotua will be displayed.

 

পুজোর আগে শুরু হচ্ছে ‘বাংলার তাঁতের হাট’

পুজোর আগে সুখবর। রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগে এ বছর দুর্গা পুজোর আগেই আবারও আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে “বাংলার তাঁতের হাট” মেলার।

বাংলার তাঁত শিল্পীরা যাতে নিজেদের শিল্পশৈলী দেখানোর সুযোগ পায়, তাই এই মেলার উদ্যোগ ক্ষুদ্র ও কুটিরশিল্প দফতর ও বস্ত্রশিল্প দফতর। রবিবার ক্ষুদ্র ও কুটিরশিল্প মন্ত্রী এই মেলার উদ্বোধন করবেন।

মেলাতে থাকবে বিভিন্ন ধরণের শাড়ি, সালোয়ার ও ঐতিহ্যবাহী বস্ত্রসমূহ। ই এম বাইপাসের ধারে অবস্থিত মিলন মেলা প্রাঙ্গনে এই মেলাটি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

সারা রাজ্যের সমস্ত তাঁত শিল্পী এই মেলায় অংশ নেবেন ও নিজেদের জিনিসপত্র বিক্রি করতে পারবেন। বিগত কয়েক বছরে দেখা গেছে শহরের মানুষ ওনাদের কাজকে খুব পছন্দ করছেন, তাই, আশা করা যায় পুজোর আগেই এই মেলাকে কেন্দ্র করে ভালো সাড়া পাওয়া যাবে।

শুধু মহিলা নন, পুরুষদের জন্যও মেলাতে থাকবে নানা সমাহার। যেমন ধুতি, পাঞ্জাবি ও প্রচুর ধরণের ফতুয়া মেলায় পাওয়া যাবে।

The state correctional home department has taken a unique move to train the prisoners in producing bakery and food items to make them self reliant. This move will reduce the huge expenditure of maintaining the kitchens.

The department has a plan to train the prisoners on how to prepare mustard oil, bakery items, candles, textiles, umbrellas, phenols and other items. The department is also looking at how the prisoners could be used for farming for which they would be handed over various modern equipments and manure to increase the productivity.

Under this current project, around 378 prisoners have already been employed. Profit has been made by the departments by running the schemes at Presidency Correctional Homes, Alipore Correctional Homes, Behrampore Correctional Homes, Midnapore Central Correctional Home.

The presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has created a lasting impression in the minds of the German business fraternity and a big delegation from the country is expected to attend the Bengal Global Business Summit, scheduled to held on January 20 and 21 next year, state Finance minister
Dr Amit Mitra said.

Vikram Solar, one of the leading solar energy solution providers based in Bengal, has signed an MoU with Teamtechnik of Germany to upgrade and expand its production capacity for Rs 400 crore. An MoU was signed between Sanjay Kajaria-led Hastings Group and German security system company Abus to export bio-jute packaging materials.

Before leaving Germany, Dr Mitra said the German businessmen were impressed by the development that had taken place under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership. She met the businessmen and had detailed discussions with them. Representatives from the German manufacturing and engineering, foundry and automobile industries called on the Chief Minister and expressed satisfaction over the meeting. 55 business-to-business and business-to-government talks had taken place and talks had taken place.

Asked what impact the visit would have in Germany, Mitra said the confidence building measures (CBM) had been very successful and now both the countries would have to translate thoughts into action. “I am hopeful that a big German delegation will come for the BGBS next year,” he said.

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের উপস্থিতি জার্মান ব্যবসায়ীদের ভীষণ ভাবে অভিভূত করেছে ও আশা করা যায় আগামী বছরের ২০-২১ জানুয়ারী যে বিশ্ববঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন হবে তাতে একটি বড় জার্মান প্রতিনিধি দল অংশ নেবে, এমনটাই মনে করছেন রাজ্যের শিল্পমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র।

অতিপরিচিত সৌরবিদ্যুৎ সরবরোহকারী সংস্থা বিক্রম সোলার একটি মৌ-সাক্ষর করেছে জার্মানির টেমটেকনিক নামক সংস্থার সঙ্গে। ৪০০ কোটি টাকার বিনিয়োগে তারা উৎপাদন ক্ষমতা বাড়াতে ইচ্ছুক। সঞ্জয় কেজরিয়ার নেতৃত্বে হেস্টিংস গ্রুপ ও জার্মান সংস্থা আবাস এর মধ্যে আরো একটি মৌ সাক্ষর হয়েছে বায়ো-জুট প্যাকেজিং দ্রব্য রপ্তানির জন্য।

জার্মানি ছাড়ার আগে অমিত মিত্র জানান, মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের যে উন্নয়ন হয়েছে তাতে জার্মান শিল্পপতিরা মুগ্ধ। শিল্পপতিদের সঙ্গে বিনিয়োগ নিয়ে ইতিবাচক বৈঠক হয়েছে। জার্মান উত্পাদন ও কারিগরি, গাড়ি শিল্পের প্রতিনিধিরা এই বৈঠকের পর খুব খুশি। শিল্পমন্ত্রী জানান যে গত ৪ দিনে ৫৫টি বি-টু-বি ও বি-টু-জি বৈঠক হয়।

অমিত বাবু বলেন ” আমি আশাবাদী একটি বড় জার্মান প্রতিনিধিদল আগামী বছরের বেঙ্গল গ্লোবাল বিসনেস সামিটে অংশগ্রহণ করতে আসবেন।”

An interaction was organized by Government of West Bengal, Consulate General Munich, BVMW and FICCI in Munich on Thursday.

The speakers included prof Dr. Wolgang Reinhardt From BVMW, former CEO, BVMW and Chairman, CUD, Baden-Wurttemberg, Bernd Reuters from German Ministry, Head of Division International Economic Relations, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing, State of Baden-Wurttemberg and senior secretaries of Government of West Bengal.

They were invited to bring a delegation of major auto, engineering,textile and other members to Bengal.

The 160 years old AMANN Group of Germany represented by Sanjeev Grewal, Regional Director said they were Interested in setting up a large textile industry in Bengal manufacturing specialized threads. The dialogue will continue as all the dignitaries were invited to Bengal.

The interaction was attended by Senator H.C. Zaki Kursun, GM, East West, a large importer of home furnishing textiles. He said he is highly interested in sourcing from Bengal. The Benga MSMET Department will facilitate linking with private textile manufacturers of Bengal.

বঙ্গ বাণিজ্যে তাদের লগ্নি আরও বাড়াচ্ছে জার্মান সংস্থাগুলি৷ নতুন করে আরও কিছু সংস্থা রাজ্যে বিনিয়োগ করবে৷ মিউনিখে রাজ্য সরকার আয়োজিত শিল্প সম্মেলনের পর সেই সম্ভাবনা তৈরি হয়েছে বলে বৃহস্পতিবার স্পষ্ট জানালেন অর্থ ও শিল্পমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র৷ তিনি বলেছেন, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের ইতিবাচক পদক্ষেপ ও সম্মেলনে অসাধারণ আহ্বানের জন্যই জার্মান শিল্পমহলের ব়্যাডারে ধরা পড়েছে বাংলা৷।

বিশেষ তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ হল, এদিন স্টুটগার্টে ছিল একটি শিল্পসভা৷ যেখানে গিয়েছিল রাজ্যের একটি উচ্চপর্যায়ের শিল্প-প্রতিনিধিদল৷ সেই শিল্পসভায় জার্মানির ৬০টি সংস্থা ছিল৷ তারা প্রত্যেকেই বাংলা সম্পর্কে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছে৷ অমিতবাবু এই প্রসঙ্গে বলেন, “আমরা আশা করেছিলাম ২০-৩০টি সংস্থা আসবে৷ কিন্তু এই যে বিপুল সংখ্যক সংস্থা এসেছে, এটাই সাফল্যের ইঙ্গিত দিচ্ছে৷”

অমিতবাবু বলেন “এদিন শিল্পসভায় একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে৷ এখন থেকে বিশ্ববাংলার প্রোডাক্টগুলি বার্লিন, মিউনিখ, বন-সহ জার্মানির বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শহরে সরকারি-বেসরকারি বিপণিতে পাওয়া যাবে৷ এই ব্যাপারে এদিন একটি চুক্তি হয়েছে৷ বাংলার কুটির ও হস্তশিল্প সম্পর্কে জার্মান শিল্পপতিদের মধ্যে আকর্ষণ তৈরি হয়েছে৷”

বৃহস্পতিবার মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বার্তা নিয়ে জার্মানির দক্ষিণ প্রান্তের শহর স্টুটগার্টে গিয়েছিল রাজ্য সরকারের শিল্প-প্রতিনিধিদল৷ সেখানে বিনিয়োগের সম্ভাব্য ক্ষেত্রগুলি নিয়ে সেখানকার শিল্পোদ্যোগী ও উৎপাদন শিল্পের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ব্যক্তিদের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন শিল্পকর্তারা৷ স্টুটগার্টের বণিকসভার সঙ্গে আলোচনার পাশাপাশি জার্মানির ক্ষুদ্রশিল্পের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ক্ষেত্রগুলিকে চিহ্নিত করতে চেয়েছেন মিউনিখ সফরে আসা বাংলার শিল্পকর্তারা৷

আজ, শুক্রবার কলকাতায় ফেরার বিমানে উঠছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী৷ বিকালে উড়ান৷ তিনি কলকাতা পৌঁছবেন শনিবার সকালে৷

State Science and Technology department is going to tie up with AYUSH department to jointly work on tissue culture to augment production of various plants. A tissue culture laboratory will be set up at Kalyani for this purpose.

The scientists will be engaged to carry out research works on “tissue culture”. The main purpose of the new project was to increase the productivity in various sectors by adopting what would be the best techniques for them to grow.

It may be mentioned here that the Biotechnology department has been carrying out research so that the vegetables and fruits are free from chemical hazards.

It has been seen that the vegetables and fruits that are supplied into various markets in the city are often found to be unhealthy, but it also affects human health as various chemical fertilisers, rich in toxic substances is often administered on the plants to augment the productivity.

The department will also carry out research on how to increase the productivity of cattle.

গাছপালার উ९পাদন বৃদ্ধির জন্য টিস্যু কালচার প্রয়োগ করার পরিকল্পনা রাজ্য সরকারের

বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির গাছের ওপর একসঙ্গে পরীক্ষামূলক ভাবে টিসু কালচার প্রয়োগ করতে রাজ্য বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিভাগ আয়ুষ বিভাগের সঙ্গে গাঁটছড়া বাঁধতে চলেছে । কল্যাণীতে এই বিষয়ক একটি ল্যাবরেটরি তৈরী করা হবে।
বিজ্ঞানীরা এই কাজের ওপর গবেষণা করার জন্য নিযুক্ত থাকবে।  এই কাজের মূল উদ্দেশ্য হলো বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রের উত্পাদনশীলতা কি কি পদ্ধতিতে বাড়ানো যায় তা খতিয়ে দেখা।
প্রসঙ্গত উল্লেক্ষ্য বায়োটেকনোলজি বিভাগ অনেক দিন ধরে গবেষণা করে চলেছে কি করে শাক সবজি কে  রাসায়নিক ক্ষতি থেকে মুক্ত করা যায়।
এটা  দেখা গেছে ফল ও শাক সবজি যেগুলো শহরাঞ্চলের বিভিন্ন বাজারে যোগান দেয়া হয়ে থাকে সেগুলো অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই অস্বাস্থ্যকর, এতে মানুষের শারীরিক অনেক ক্ষতি হয় কারণ যে সব সার ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে উত্পাদন  বৃধ্ধির জন্য, তা বেশির ভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই খুব বিষাক্ত ও ক্ষতিকারক রাসায়নিকযুক্ত।
গবাদি পশুদের কর্মক্ষমতা কি করে বাড়ানো যায় সেটাও গবেষণা করে দেখবে এই দপ্তর।

The state mass education department is going to undertake a literacy drive in the city in order to achieve 100 per cent literacy rate.

Around 12 lakh men and women have registered their names in the 9 districts where literacy rate is comparatively low. Among the total 12 lakh, around 11.27 lakh people have appeared in the examination, of which around 60 per cent are women.

The state government is planning to cover around 12 lakh people under the literacy drive within March next year.

Around 1,364 Lok Siksha Kendra was set up at 9 districts to spread awareness and make the programme a success.

The state government is giving an emphasis on a special literacy drive among the physically challenged and backward classes.

 

সাক্ষরতার হার ১০০ শতাংশ করার উদ্যোগ রাজ্য সরকারের

সাক্ষরতা হার ১০০ শতাংশ করার জন্য রাজ্য গণশিক্ষা বিভাগ উদ্যোগ নিতে চলেছে। আগামী বছর মার্চ মাসের রাজ্যের প্রায় ১২ লক্ষ মানুষকে সাক্ষর করে তোলার একটি পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে রাজ্য সরকারের।

নারী ও পুরুষ মিলিয়ে প্রায় ১২ লক্ষ লোক ৯ টি জেলায় (যেখানে শিক্ষার হার তুলনামূলকভাবে কম) তাদের নাম নথিভুক্ত করেছেন। মোট ১২ লাখের মধ্যে প্রায় ১১.২৭ লক্ষ মানুষ পরীক্ষায় বসেছেন যার মধ্যে ৬০ শতাংশ মহিলা।

এই পরিকল্পনাকে সফল করতে ও মানুষকে এব্যাপারে আরও সচেতন করতে ৯ টি জেলায় মোট ১,৩৬৪ টি লোক শিক্ষা কেন্দ্র তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

রাজ্য সরকার প্রতিবন্ধী ও অনগ্রসর শ্রেণীর ওপরও বিশেষভাবে জোর দিচ্ছে।

Setting a precedent in the country, the Urban Development department of Bengal has decided to hand over plots – along with the sanction plan – to set up structures on them at Gitabitan in Santiniketan.

Gitabitan project, named by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is coming up on 127 acre of land. Necessary amendments to the Building Rules will be made to facilitate the project. A tender will be floated after the Puja to find out the buyers.

The state government has decided to set up six townships in Santiniketan (Gitabitan on 127 acre), Baruipur (Uttam City on 86 acre), Asansol (Agnibina on 59 acre), Kalyani (Samriddhi on 51.4 acre) Howrah (Dumurjala on 51.4 acre) and Siliguri (Teesta on 84 acres).

The state government has also come up with a township policy. All the modern townships will have specific themes.

স্যানক্শন প্ল্যানও দেওয়া হবে গীতবিতান থিম সিটি প্রকল্পে 

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর স্বপ্নের গীতবিতান থিম সিটিতে জমির সাথে স্যানক্শন প্ল্যান ও দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত রাজ্য সরকারের। তার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় সংশোধন করা হবে আবাসন আইনে। পুজোর পর বিজ্ঞপ্তি জারি করা হবে।

১২৭ একর জমির ওপর গড়ে উঠতে চলেছে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের নামকরণ করা গীতবিতান প্রকল্প।

রাজ্য সরকার ছয়টি থিম উপনগরী গড়ে তুলতে চায়: শান্তিনিকেতনে গীতবিতান (১২৭ একর), বারুইপুরে উত্তম নগরী (৮৬ একর), আসানসোলে অগ্নিবীণা (৫৯ একর), কল্যাণীতে সমৃধ্ধি (৫১.৪ একর), হাওড়াতে ডুমুরজালা (৫১.৪ একর) ও শিলিগুড়িতে তিস্তা (৮৪ একর)।

গীতবিতান এমন ভাবে তৈরী করা হবে যাতে শান্তিনিকেতনের পরিবেশ আরও সমৃদ্ধ হয়। এই উপনাগরিতে অত্যাধুনিক সব বন্দোবস্ত থাকবে পরিবেশ ও প্রযুক্তির মেলবন্ধন ঘটে।
