On the occasion of the Foundation Day of the All India Trinamool Congress, on January 1, 2015, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee joined micro blogging website Twitter, calling it a new beginning. She greeted people on the New Year 2015 in her first ever tweet.

Within two years, @Mamataofficial has around 7.05 lakh followers and has posted 2162 tweets.

Mamata Banerjee has been tweeting on varied issues, ranging from making political statements, to greeting people, paying homage to icons on their birth/death anniversaries or congratulating sporting personalities for achieving success and sharing new about development in Bengal.

Trinamool Congress is observing the 19th Foundation Day today in a grand scale, at block, sub division and panchayat level. The party flag was hoisted at Trinamool Bhavan by  Trinamool All India General Secretary Subrata Bakshi.

Today different programmes are being taken up across the state to observe the Foundation Day.

End of #Demonetization and Start of# DeModitization. The year 2017 will mark the year of Demoditization. This will be the New Year Resolution of all 125 crore people of this great country. Where are the figures of #DeMonetisation? How much of black money recovered? What did the nation gain after 50 days of excruciating pain? The Prime Minister deviated from actual agenda of black money and #DeMonetisation. The Prime Minister just took over post of Finance Minister and made pre-Budget speech. So the Finance Minister was missing from this advance Budget Speech made by Prime Minister. Modi babu, empty vessels make the most noise. Modi Babu wanted 50 days to deliver promises. He badly failed. PM who runs nation in the name of Suddhikaran just underwent Buddhiharan. Promises broken. Promises derailed. People are not beggars. He has snatched common man’s  financial rights. Financial Emergency continues in the name of black money cleanup. Money not available in banks. Still no concrete solutions to problems. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the Swasthya Sathi Scheme at the Netaji Indoor Stadium today. This is a novel effort by the State Government to benefit 45 lakh families of State Government employees across the State.

The Chief Minister also felicitated health officials including doctors and nurses with Swasthya Samman.

Hospital superintendents and block medical officers (BMOs) of 20 hospitals across the State were felicitated for their contributions. Twenty doctors and 50 nurses from across the State were also awarded.

The awardees were chosen by a special committee under the Health Department that had been tracking the performances all through the year.

 

Salient points of Mamata Banerjee’s address to doctors, nurses and other health professionals during the inauguration ceremony at Netaji Indoor Stadium:

  • Your world is a big world. Healthcare implies care for humanity, it is not about commerce.
  • People compare doctors to god, they are the last resort during times of need.
  • Behaviour towards people is more important than just prescribing medicine; it is more important to stand beside the people.
  • All doctors, nurses, health workers, ICDS workers and ASHA workers have been rewarded today.
  • We are all connected to one another, so we need to help each other.
  • 45 lakh families have been brought under the Swasthya Sathi Scheme.
  • 14,000 doctors and nurses have been recruited, 7,000 more are going to be recruited.
  • Besides Government hospitals, about 500 private hospitals have been notified under the Swasthya Sathi Scheme.
  • Government employees would get medical benefits to the tune of Rs 1.5 to 5 lakh in Government and private hospitals.
  • We have started the Mabhoi Scheme for media professionals.
  • Of the 42 super-speciality hospitals, 32 are already up and running.
  • Medical seats have increased by 1345, to a total of 3100, in just 6 years of Trinamool Congress Government.
  • We have set up SNCUs, SNSUs, Mother and Child Hubs and a Medical Recruitment Board.
  • We have set up 57 ICCU units in district hospitals, including in Digha and Bakkhali, because these are tourist hotspots.

  • Of course, we all have to be careful to guard against negligence.
  • The media also needs to be careful to not indulge in negative reporting; the positives also have to be reported by the media.
  • The media should do field surveys before reporting, to see for themselves what the matter is.
  • Certain incidents are being reported for the last 15 days all over the social media, when nothing significant has happened.
  • We are the only State which provides all manner of humanitarian help to the people.
  • But we do less of self-preaching and more of real work.
  • Whether for an accident or for a shop or house damaged or for anything else, we reach out to help without anyone reminding us to do so.
  • We are not a Government that makes decisions solely for political reasons.
  • We are forced to give away Rs 40,000 crore from our revenue to the Central Government for servicing debt.
  • If we had not had to pay this amount, then we could have shown what our Government could really do for Bengal.
  • Yet we have still done a lot – 20 Mother and Child Hubs, eight medical colleges, 42 super-speciality hospitals, fair price medicine shops and fair price diagnostic centres.
  • We have also set up 300 sick newborn stabilisation units (SNSUs), 60 sick newborn care units (SNCUs), intensive cardiac care units (ICCUs), intensive therapy units (ITUs), etc.
  • We provide free treatment to the people, even for costly procedures like kidney transplants.
  • People are getting concessions of 47% to 70% at fair price medicine shops and fair price diagnostic centres.
  • These services are being provided despite the Centre having increased by a big amount the prices of life-saving drugs for diabetes, cancer, etc.
  • We reimburse even those who have had themselves treated at private hospitals.
    Swasthya Sathi Scheme: Treatments worth up to Rs 1.75 lakh per year to be covered
    Swasthya Sathi Scheme: For a few specific diseases, treatments worth up to Rs 5 lakh per year to be covered.
    Swasthya Sathi Scheme: More than 1,900 diseases have been covered under the scheme, to be paid for in full if treated at any of the notified Government or private hospitals.
  • Swasthya Sathi Scheme: All aspects of treatment like medicines, diagnostic tests, food, etc. would be free of cost at the notified hospitals.
  • Swasthya Sathi Scheme: While being released from hospitals, a patient would get Rs 200 to cover travel costs.
  • Swasthya Sathi Scheme: Medicines required for the day before being admitted to hospital and for five days after release would be given free of cost.
  • This medical insurance would be renewed by the State Government every year; we will see to that.
  • People are suffering so much after demonetisation, people can’t pay for their basic needs.
  • Despite the limit of Rs 24,000 for withdrawals in cash from banks, banks are not being able to give it because of a shortage of supply.
  • People are not getting paid under the 100 Days’ Scheme, Gitanjali Housing Scheme, etc. in cash despite the sanction of the State Government because banks are not being able to provide the cash.
  • Rice and pulses at Rs 2 per kg under Khadya Sathi Scheme and free treatment – these schemes of the State Government have been of big help to the people during these trying times.
  • Scholarships are given under Kanyashree and Shikshashree Schemes, and are also being given to minority-community students.
  • We are also giving shoes for primary school students, as well as nutritious food for them.
  • Food, health, education – the State Government is looking after all these, and hence providing relief from mental tension.
  • Roti, kapda, makan – these are the basic needs of the people, and we have looked well after these needs.
  • The Government has to look beyond commercial needs, it has to look towards fulfilling social needs.
  • The responsibility of a democratic Government like ours is towards the people, while that of a dictatorial Government is only towards itself.
  • We can all make mistakes to some extent; even Netaji had said about the right to make mistakes.
  • May the New Year bring the best of everything to all of you.

স্বাস্থ্যসাথী প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

রাজ্য সরকারের সমস্ত দপ্তরে চুক্তিভিত্তিক, অস্থায়ী, দৈনিক মজুরি আয়ের কর্মী এবং তাঁদের পরিবারের জন্য স্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষা প্রকল্প চালু করল রাজ্য সরকার। প্রকল্পের নাম ‘‌স্বাস্থ্যসাথী প্রকল্প’। আজ নেতাজি ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে এই প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এই ‘‌স্বাস্থ্যসাথী প্রকল্প’–‌এর আওতায় আসবেন স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী, আশা ও  অঙ্গনওয়াড়ির কর্মীদের মতো অস্থায়ী কর্মীরা। শুক্রবার এই প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, এই প্রকল্পে ৪৫ লক্ষের বেশি পরিবারের ৩ কোটি মানুষ উপকৃত হবেন। এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় যাঁরা আসবেন, তাঁদের প্রত্যেককেই দেওয়া হবে সচিত্র স্মার্ট কার্ড।

 

স্বাস্থ্যসাথী প্রকল্প

  • ‌ প্রথমত এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় কর্মীরা ও তাঁদের পরিবারের সমস্ত সদস্য অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন।
  • এই প্রকল্পের সমস্ত চিকিৎসা খরচ রাজ্য সরকার বহন করবে।
  • প্রতি বছর চিকিৎসার জন্য ১ লক্ষ ৫০ হাজার টাকা পর্যন্ত দেওয়া হবে।
  • কিছু বিশেষ অসুখের ক্ষেত্রে ৫ লক্ষ টাকা পর্যন্ত পাওয়া যাবে।
  • জেলায় এবং রাজ্যের যে কোনও নথিভুক্ত হাসপাতালে যাঁরা ভর্তি হবেন, তাঁরা ১৯০০–র বেশি ধরনের রোগের চিকিৎসা পাবেন।
  • ‌ এই ঘোষণার আগে থেকে কেউ অসুস্থ থাকলে তিনিও ওই স্বাস্থ্য প্রকল্পের আওতায় আসবেন।
  • হাসপাতালে ভর্তি থাকার সময় হওয়া পরীক্ষা, চিকিৎসার প্রয়োজনীয় সরঞ্জাম, ওষুধ এবং খাবারের খরচ দেবে সরকার।
  • হাসপাতালে ভর্তির একদিন আগে এবং হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়া পাওয়ার পরের পাঁচদিনের ওষুধও তাঁরা পাবেন।
  • ‌ হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়া পাওয়ার পর বাড়ি ফেরার জন্য গাড়ি ভাড়া বাবদ তাঁদের ২০০ টাকা দেওয়া হবে।
  • ‌ নবজাতকেরাও এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় আসবে।
  • এই বিমার সুযোগ–‌সুবিধা পাবেন স্বামী–স্ত্রী, বাবা–‌মা, এবং কর্মীদের ১৮ বছর পর্যন্ত বয়সি সন্তানেরা।
  • বিমার মেয়াদ কাল ১ বছর। প্রতিবছর নবীকরণ করতে হবে।
  • প্রয়োজনে বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল থেকে এই প্রকল্পের নিয়ম অনুযায়ী চিকিৎসা করানো যাবে।

চিকিৎসা শাস্ত্রে বিশেষ অবদানের জন্য এদিন বিশিষ্ট চিকিৎসকদের স্বাস্থ্য সম্মান দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এছাড়া স্মারক তুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে বিভিন্ন জেলার চিকিৎসক, নার্স , স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীর মহিলাদের হাতে। ৫০,০০০ টাকা করে নগদ পুরস্কার দেওয়া হবে বলে ঘোষণা করা হয় চিকিৎসকদের, আর নার্সদের ২৫ হাজার টাকা দেওয়া হবে। এদিন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী এসএসকেএম হাসপাতালের পাশে বিবেকানন্দ উদ্যানের উদ্বোধন করেন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, “‌আজ রাজ্য সরকারের পরিবারের বিশেষ দিন। এই চিকিৎসক নার্স–‌সহ সকলেই এঁরা নিজ নিজ ক্ষেত্রে অসাধারণ কাজ করে চলেছেন। চিকিৎসকদের কাছে মানুষ যান‌ সেবা পেতে। তাই চিকিৎসকদের উচিত রোগী ও তার পরিবারের সঙ্গে ভালো আচরণ করা”।

তিনি আরও জানান,  মিডিয়ার জন্য মাভৈ স্বাস্থ্য প্রকল্প চালু হয়েছে। চার বছরে ৩১০০ চিকিৎসকের পদ তৈরি হয়েছে। ১৪ হাজার নার্স নেওয়া হয়েছে। ৫৭টা ইন্সেনটিভ কেয়ার ইউনিট কাজ করছে বিভিন্ন ব্লকে। ৩২টি মাল্টিসুপার হাসপাতাল ও ৮টা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ তৈরি হয়েছে।  করেছি । প্রসূতি হাসপাতাল ৯২ শতাংশ হয়ে গেছে। ১০০ শতাংশে নিয়ে যাওয়ার টার্গেট রয়েছে। সুন্দরবনের  আর্থ–সামাজিক অবস্থার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবার ক্ষেত্রে নানান ধরনের পরিকল্পনা‌ হাতে নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। তিনি বলেন, যখন ক্ষমতায় এসেছিলাম তখন শিশুমৃত্যুর হার ৩২ শতাংশ, এখন  তা ২৮ শতাংশ হয়েছে। ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌

Reacting sharply to the CBI issuing summons to two TMC MPs, Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre was resorting to “politics of vendetta”, but asserted that Trinamool Congress could not be stopped in this manner.
“This is politics of vendetta. Trinamool Congress cannot be stopped in this way,” she said.
Mamata Banerjee had stated in Delhi on Tuesday that the country was witnessing a “super emergency” under Modi’s rule without its formal declaration. All sections of the society are being frightened by “Gabbar is coming, Gabbar is coming”, she had said and added that the country could not be run through such threats. She had also accused the Prime Minister of taking away the people’s rights.

Tantuja, the leading brand of Bengal, under the State MSME department, has now stepped in to promote linen products. The new products made of linen were inaugurated on Tuesday by the Bengal MSME Minister.

The MSME department has started training 180 Tant weavers in Fulia on making linen fabric. The MSME department has been supplying the weavers with special machines to weave linen fabric.

Tantuja will promote the products through its 10 outlets. Prices have been fixed keeping in mind the middle income groups.

Tantuja has recently received the prestigious Images Retail Award in Mumbai. Tantuja’s products, especially sarees, are now available on most popular e-commerce platform. Once ailing due to financial crisis, the organisation under West Bengal State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society made a record operational profit in 2015-16 at Rs 3.5 crore against a turnover of Rs 123.19 crore.

ডিজাইনার দের সঙ্গে গাঁটছড়া বেঁধে এবার লিনেনের ডিজাইনার রেঞ্জ তাদের বাজারে আনল তন্তুজ। মঙ্গলবার এই নতুন ডিজাইন করা পোশাকের উদ্বোধন করেন ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্পমন্ত্রী।

ফুলিয়ার ৩টি সোসাইটির মত ১৮০ জন তাঁতশিল্পীদের দিয়ে প্রথম ধাপের লিনেনের ফ্যাব্রিক তৈরির প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া শুরু করেছে। লিনেনের মতো মজবুত ফাইবারকে নরম করে ডিজাইনার পোশাক তৈরির উপযোগী করে তুলতে বিশেষ যন্ত্রও আনানো হয়েছে। ১ কোটি ৩ লক্ষ টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে এই প্রকল্পের জন্য।

কলকাতায় যে ১০টি শো রুম আছে সেখানেও লিনেনের ডিজাইন রাখা হবে। মধ্যবিত্ত লোকেদেড় কথা মাথায় রেখেই মুল্য নির্ধারন করা হয়েছে।

সম্প্রতি মুম্বাইতে পুরস্কার পেয়েছে তন্তুজ। তন্তুজর পণ্যদ্রব্য বিশেষত শাড়ি এখন সবচেয়ে বেশি জনপ্রিয়, এগুলি সব ই-কমার্স প্ল্যাটফর্মে পাওয়া যায়।

একদা আর্থিক সংকটে থাকা এই হ্যান্ডলুম তাঁতি কো-অপারেটিভ সোসাইটি এখন রাজ্য সরকারের সহযোগিতায় লাভের মুখ দেখছে। ২০১৫-১৬ সালে তাদের লাভের পরিমাণ ৩.৫ কোটি।

The month long West Bengal Chhatro-Yubo Utsav 2016-17, organised by the State Youth Welfare department will start from January 7, 2017 and continue till February 9, 2017.

To be held all over the State, the three-tier cultural competitions in different aspects will be held from January 3-5, 2017 in municipalities, municipal areas, notified areas and borough levels.

The district level competitions will be held in-between January 19-21, 2017. The State level competitions will be held from February 7-9, 2017.

The contestants will receive all support from the block, municipality, borough or district Youth department office.

 

৩ জানুয়ারি থেকে শুরু হবে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য ছাত্র-যুব উৎসব ২০১৬-২০১৭

 

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের যুব কল্যাণ দপ্তর আয়োজন করেছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য ছাত্র-যুব উৎসব ২০১৬-২০১৭।

সারা রাজ্য জুড়ে তিনটি স্তরে সাংস্কৃতিক প্রতিযোগিতা ও অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজিত হবে।

ব্লক/মিউনিসিপালিটি/মিউনিসিপ্যাল কর্পোরেশন/ নোটিফায়েড এলাকা বোরো স্তরে এই উৎসব চলবে ৩-৫ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত।

জেলা স্তরে এই উৎসব চলবে ১৯-২১ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত। রাজ্য স্তরে এই উৎসব চলবে ৭-৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি পর্যন্ত।

The Bengal Government has decided to set up 5,000 more toilets with an aim to keep the forthcoming Ganga Sagar Mela “clean and green”.

More than 12 lakh people from different parts of the country visit the fair every year to a take a holy dip in the confluence of river Ganga in Sagar Island. This year, the turnout is expected to be more as there is no such Mela in other parts of the country. Around 15 lakh people are expected to visit Ganga Sagar in January 2017.

It had always been the target of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to keep the Sagar Island clean and green.

Subrata Mukherjee, the state Public Health Engineering minister, visited the venue on Sagar Island on Monday and held meeting with Sundarbans Development minister. Senior officials of the district including the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police were also present in the meeting.

In a bid to ensure uninterrupted power supply, the state Power Minister Sobhandeb Chatterjee also went to the spot on Tuesday. Ganga Sagar Mela this time will be held on January 13, 14 and 15, but the people will start pouring into Sagar Island from January 8 onward.

The Bengal PHE Minister said that it had been the effort every year, to keep the Mela clean. But this time the Government will not leave any stone unturned to ensure that Ganga Sagar Mela turns out to be the cleanest of all, he said.

He said that there will be a total 15,000 sanitary toilets with proper markings. There will be bright coloured flags fitted on the top of the toilets so that volunteers can make people understand its location and people can also reach the place by tracking the flag.

It may be mentioned that 10,000 toilets were set up in the Mela held in January 2016. With the increase in 5,000 toilets, the task of keeping the Mela clean will be much easier.

Around 6,000 civil volunteers, all local youths, will be deployed in the mela only to keep the area clean. In case anyone dumps it outside the dustbin, then the volunteers will pick it up and throw it in the right place. This time, there will be people to collect waste products from the shops in the Mela to dump it in a particular place.

Sufficient quantity of safe drinking water will be supplied to pilgrims on the Mela days. Besides taking steps to keep the mela premises clean, steps have been taken to increase the number of vessels by around 20 to ensure that people do not face trouble in reaching the island by crossing Muri Ganga River.

There will be a total 90 vessels to ferry the pilgrims. At the same time, the state Irrigation department is carrying out the dredging work at five different locations on Muri Ganga to ensure easy movement of the vessels.

গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা প্রাঙ্গণকে পরিচ্ছন্ন ও সবুজ রাখতে আরও ৫০০০ সৌচালয় গড়বার পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। সাগর দ্বীপের সংলগ্ন গঙ্গায় স্নান করে পবিত্র হতে প্রতি বছর দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে প্রায় ১২ লক্ষ মানুষ এই মেলায় আসেন। আশা করা হচ্ছে এই বছর এখানে জনসমাগম আরও বাড়বে কারন এই বছর আর দেশের অন্য কোথাও এই মেলা হচ্ছে না।

রাজ্য জন স্বাস্থ্য কারিগরি মন্ত্রী সুব্রত মুখোপাধ্যায় গত সোমবার ওই অঞ্চলে যান ও সুন্দরবন উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী, উচ্চ আধিকারিক, পুলিশ সুপারিন্টেন্ডেন্ট ও জেলা শাসকের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন।

বিদ্যুৎ ব্যাবস্থা যাতে স্বাভাবিক থাকে, সেই জন্য বিদ্যুৎমন্ত্রী শোভনদেব চট্টোপাধ্যায় মঙ্গলবার স্থানটি পরিদর্শনে যান। এই বছর মেলা হবে ১৩ থেকে ১৫ই জানুয়ারী, যদিও জনসমাগম ৮ তারিখ থেকেই শুরু হয়ে যাবে।

জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরি মন্ত্রী বলেন এবছর নতুন ৫০০০ শৌচালয় তৈরি হওয়ায় মোট শৌচালয়ের সংখ্যা হল ১৫,০০০।  এগুলির ওপর নিশান লাগানো থাকবে, যাতে সহজেই মানুষ তা খুঁজে পায়।

এ বছর মেলা প্রাঙ্গণকে পরিছছন্ন রাখতে ও উপস্থিত মানুষদের সাহায্য করতে মোট ৬০০০ স্বেচ্ছাসেবক থাকবে। যথেষ্ট পরিমানে পরিশোধিত পানীয় জলের যোগানের পাশাপাশি যাত্রীদের সুরক্ষাবাবদ ২০টি অতিরিক্ত জলযান ওখানে উপস্থিত থাকবে যাতে ওখানে কোনও দুর্ঘটনা না ঘটে। সব মিলিয়ে মোট ৯০টি জলযান উপস্থিত থাকবে যাত্রীদের পারাপারের জন্য।

Stating that the Centre is suppressing the state governments under financial burden, the state Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday once again slammed the draft policy of the Ministry of Railways that recommends investment by the state governments for projects related to suburban rail service.

The Minister said that he would take up the matter with the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee once she returns from Delhi and sent a reply to the Ministry as they have asked the state governments to comment on the guidelines in the draft policy.

Meanwhile, in connection with better transport facility for people the Transport minister also announced that 50 buses will be plying to Takht Sri Patna Sahib to take pilgrims to the place free of cost on December 31 and January 1. The special arrangement has been made to take the pilgrims to the place on the eve of 350th birth anniversary of Guru Govind Singh. The buses will be plying from Kolkata, Karunamoyee and Dankuni.

The Minister further said that two launches will be operating from Halisahar to Dankuni via Barrackpore and Bansberia to ensure better transport facility to people of the area as they are facing inconvenience as Iswar Gupta Setu was closed to carry out repairing.

শহর-শহরতলিতে নতুন রেল-প্রকল্পের দায় থেকে মুক্ত হতে চায় রেল। সম্প্রতি চিঠি নিয়ে রাজ্য সরকারকে বিষয়টি জানিয়ে মতামতও জানতে চাওয়া হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার সেই প্রসঙ্গেই কড়া প্রতিক্রিয়া দিলেন রাজ্যের পরিবহণমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী।

তিনিবলেন, “রেল রাজ্য থেকে হাজার হাজার কোটি টাকা আদায় করে। রেল এখন তার দায় এড়িয়ে যেতে চাইছে। যাত্রী পরিবহণের বিষয়টা আমাদের ঘাড়ে চাপাতে চাইছে। আমরা মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে রেলকে উত্তর দেব। বিষয়টা নেতিবাচক হিসাবেই দেখছি।“

মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, “ফ্রেইট থেকে হলদিয়াতেই প্রতিদিন দেড় কোটি টাকা পায় রেল। মাসিক হিসাবে ৪৫ কোটি । অথচ এখন যাত্রী পরিবহণের দায় রাজ্যের ঘাড়ে চাপানোর চেষ্টা করছে”।

সম্প্রতি রেলের তরফে সমস্ত রাজ্য সরকারকে চিঠি দিয়ে জানানো হয়েছে, ভবিষ্যতে যে কোনও সাবার্বান প্রকল্পের দায় রাজ্য সরকারকে নিতে হবে। জমি অধিগ্রহন থেকে প্রকল্পের খরচ কোনও ক্ষেত্রে রেল সাহায্য করবে না।

অন্যদিকে পরিবহণমন্ত্রী ঘোষণা করেন, ডিসেম্বরের ৩১তারিখ ও জানুয়ারী মাসের ১তারিক তীর্থ যাত্রীদের পাটনা সাহিবে সম্পূর্ণ বিনামুল্যে নিয়ে যাবে পরিবহণ দপ্তরের ৫০টি বাস। এই স্পেশ্যাল বন্দোবস্ত করা হয়েছে গুরু গোবিন্দ সিংহর ৩৫০তম জন্মবার্ষিকীতে শিখ সম্প্রদায়ের তীর্থযাত্রীদের সুবিধার্থে। এই বাসগুলি ছাড়বে কলকাতা, করুণাময়ী ও ডানকুনি থেকে।

তিনি আরও ঘোষণা করেন, মেরামতির কাজের জন্য ঈশ্বর গুপ্ত সেতু বন্ধ আছে। তাই দুটি লঞ্চ হালিশহর থেকে বারাকপুর ও বাঁশবেরিয়া হয়ে ডানকুনি যাতায়াত করবে।

In a move to make vegetable, fruit and flower growers in Bengal self-reliant, the Mamata Banerjee-led State Government is enabling the export of these agricultural and horticultural products to European countries.

It has been found that vegetables and fruits like beans, pumpkins, bananas and papayas, especially from the district of Nadia, are quite popular among Bengalis and Asians in European countries. Hence, vegetables produced in the district are being exported to England, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland.

This is the first time when vegetables are being exported from the State with the assistance of the State Government. The second consignment from Nadia district was recently exported; the first batch was sent on December 20.

Gerbera flowers (a type of daisy) are also being cultivated for exporting.

The State Government has taken certain steps to make the products suitable for export.

Irrigation and application of fertilisers are being done through drip irrigation system to control production and maintain quality.

To enable the perishable products to stay fresh for export, storage facilities like hi-tech poly houses have been constructed. Seventy-four hi-tech and 27 low-cost polyhouses have been set up across Nadia.

Ever since coming to power in 2011, the Trinamool Congress Government has been proactively promoting agricultural activities in the State.

 

কৃষকদের স্বনির্ভর করতে উদ্যোগী রাজ্য সরকার

শাক, সবজি, ফুল ও ফল চাষিদের স্বনির্ভর করতে এবং তাদের উৎপাদিত শাক, সবজি, ফুল ও ফল সরাসরি ইউরোপের দেশগুলিতে রপ্তানি করার উদ্যোগ নিল মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পরিচালিত রাজ্য সরকার।

লক্ষ্য করা গেছে বাংলা তথা নদিয়া জেলায় উৎপন্ন ফল ও আনাজ শুধু বাঙালি নয়, সারা ইউরোপে সব এশিয়াবাসির কাছে খুবই পছন্দের। তাই, নদিয়া জেলায় উৎপন্ন হওয়া শাক, সবজি ও ফল এখন থেকে পাড়ি দিচ্ছে ইংল্যান্ড, ইতালি, জার্মানি, নেদারল্যান্ডস, ফ্রান্স ও সুইজারল্যান্ডে।

এই প্রথম রাজ্য সরকারের তত্ত্বাবধানে রাজ্য থেকে সরাসরি শাক, সবজি ও ফল সরাসরি রফতানি করা হচ্ছে। ডিসেম্বরের ২০ তারিখ প্রথম দফার রফতানি করা হয় ও তার পর দ্বিতীয় দফার রফতানিও করা হয়েছে।

বিভিন্ন ধরনের ডেইসি ফুলও চাষ করা হচ্ছে রফতানির জন্য। এর জন্য বেশ কিছু পদক্ষেপও নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।

উপযুক্ত সারের ব্যাবহার ও ড্রিপ সেচ ব্যাবহারের মাধ্যমে চাষ করা হচ্ছে যাতে উৎপাদনের পরিমান ও গুনমান দুটি’ই বজায় থাকে।

সহজে পচনশীল কৃষিজ দ্রব্যগুলোকে তাজা রাখার জন্য অত্যাধুনিক পলিহাউস তৈরি করা হয়েছে। নদিয়ায় মোট ৭৪টি অত্যাধুনিক ও ২৭টি কম খরচের পলিহাউস তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

২০১১ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সারা রাজ্যে কৃষিকাজের উন্নতিসাধনে বিশেষ উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে।
