Won’t be deterred by Modi’s vendetta politics: Mamata Banerjee
Reacting sharply to the CBI issuing summons to two TMC MPs, Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre was resorting to “politics of vendetta”, but asserted that Trinamool Congress could not be stopped in this manner.
“This is politics of vendetta. Trinamool Congress cannot be stopped in this way,” she said.
Mamata Banerjee had stated in Delhi on Tuesday that the country was witnessing a “super emergency” under Modi’s rule without its formal declaration. All sections of the society are being frightened by “Gabbar is coming, Gabbar is coming”, she had said and added that the country could not be run through such threats. She had also accused the Prime Minister of taking away the people’s rights.

তৃনমূল কংগ্রেসের দুই সাংসদকে সিবিআই-এর ডাকের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে তৃনমূলের সর্বভারতীয় নেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বুধবার স্পষ্ট ভাষায় জানিয়ে দেন, নরেন্দ্র মোদী পরিচালিত কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার প্রতিহিংসাপরায়ন রাজনীতি করছেন, তবে এইসব করে যে তৃনমূলকে দমিয়ে রাখা যাবে না, এও তিনি জানিয়ে দেন।
মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় মঙ্গলবার দিল্লিতে বলেন, মোদীর শাসনে দেশ এই মুহূর্তে এক অঘোষিত “চরম জরুরি অবস্থার” মধ্যে দিয়ে যাচ্ছে। সারা দেশবাসীকে “গব্বর আসছে, গব্বর আসছে” বলে ভয় দেখানো হচ্ছে। কোন দেশ এইভাবে চলতে পারে না। সাধারন মানুষের অধিকার কেড়ে নেওয়ার জন্য তিনি প্রধানমন্ত্রীকেই দায়ী করেন।
