Trinamool walks out of LS over the issue of derogatory remarks by Union Minister
Trinamool MPs today walked out of the Lok Sabha after not being allowed to speak on the issue of derogatory remarks made by a Union Minister.
Before walking out, Leader of the Party in Lok Sabha, Sudip Bandyopadhyay said: “The issue was raised yesterday where Naidu ji made a statement. He mentioned my party’s name on this subject. It is my privilege to speak and make a clarification. We must be allowed to speak but since we are not allowed to, we are walking out.”
Even the Rajya Sabha was adjourned several times over the same issue. The Opposition demanded the resignation of the Minister concerned, saying that the statement by the Prime Minister is not enough.
