NBSTC to launch app for booking tickets
The North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) will soon launch a mobile app through which people across the state will be able to book bus tickets for long-distance buses to go anywhere in north Bengal.
More than 500 buses are operational under NBSTC. Cooch Behar-Kolkata and Siliguri-Kolkata are some of the popular routes for which demand is high most of the year.
NBSTC officials said the app would be specially useful for students, who want to travel to and from north Bengal on weekends and avoid harassment of ticket booking.
They also said that NBSTC is also working on updating its website. The updated website will now include details of the popular tourist destinations across north Bengal and their route of travel.

উত্তরবঙ্গের যেকোনো জায়গায় যাওয়ার জন্য উত্তরবঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় পরিবহণ সংস্থার বাসের টিকিট এবার কাটা যাবে অ্যাপে। শীঘ্রই এই অ্যাপটি তৈরি করবে উত্তর বঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় পরিবহণ সংস্থা।
উত্তর বঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় পরিবহণ সংস্থায় ৫০০র বেশী বাস চলে। কোচবিহার-কলকাতা ও শিলিগুড়ি-কলকাতা রুটগুলিতে টিকিটের চাহিদা সারা বছর থাকে।
উত্তরবঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় পরিবহণ সংস্থার আধিকারিকরা জানান, এই অ্যাপটি পড়ুয়াদের জন্য খুব উপকারী হবে। কারণ অনেক পড়ুয়াই সপ্তাহান্তে উত্তরবঙ্গে গিয়ে থাকে।
উত্তরবঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় পরিবহণ সংস্থা তাদের ওয়েবসাইটটি আপডেটেরও কাজ করছে। এবার এই ওয়েবসাইটে উত্তরবঙ্গের উল্লেখযোগ্য পর্যটন কেন্দ্র গুলির বিবরণ ও সেখানে যাওয়ার রুটের বর্ণনাও থাকবে।
