KMC Advisers Meet To Chalk Out Strategy For New Mayor And Team
The first meeting of the new ‘expert committee’ to advise the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) was held recently in Kolkata. This innovative initiative draws from a cross section of society to contribute ideas to rebuild and improve Kolkata. The committee comprises well known achievers from different fields, including representatives from the Chambers of Commerce. The Chairman of the committee informed that the team would meet once every two months and, if needed, during an emergency. It was also decided that each member would “make valuable contributions” in two/three of the ten Departments. This path-breaking meeting of minds was held at the historic Town Hall.
