Derek O’Brien asks a Supplementary Question on Aadhaar, data protection and national security in the age of internet

Sir, the Minister has made a categorical statement here that internet will not be made a fundamental right. We can have a discussion about that later.
The minister, in one of the earlier answers, said this is a issue for (the ministries of) IT, communication and law. Sir, this is also an issue concerning the Ministry of Home Affairs, because the internet issue is a national security and a privacy issue.
The day before yesterday, Facebook was asking for Aadhaar card number before you can open a Facebook account. So my question to the Minister is, in the age of the internet, what are the measures you have taken for data protection and national security in the use of the internet.
