Facebook 360 degree video used for the first time for an election in India at Didi’s rally
Mamata Banerjee became the first politician in India to use a Facebook 360 video for an election rally. On 21 April, she posted a 360 video of her padyatra in Bardhaman, held earlier this week, on her Facebook page.
She wrote on her page:
“I am happy to share with all of you the new Facebook 360 degree video that is being used for the very first time ever, for any election campaign in India. Please watch some clips of a padyatra held earlier this week at Bardhaman town.
My salute to the Ma-Maati-Manush for their overwhelming enthusiasm and participation.
Yes, Trinamool is winning. আমরা জিতছি”
On 13 April, 2016, Mamata Banerjee had posted her first Facebook LIVE video which got over 2 lakh views in less than 24 hours. She had also conducted a Q&A session on the same day where she got a huge response from the people.

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় প্রথম রাজনীতিবিদ যিনি ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিওর মাধ্যমে নির্বাচনী প্রচার করেন। ২১শে এপ্রিল তিনি তার বর্ধমানের পদযাত্রার ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও তার ফেসবুক পেজে পোস্ট করেন।
ভারতের যেকোনো নির্বাচনী প্রচারে ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও-র মাধ্যমে প্রচার এই প্রথম।
বিপুল উৎসাহ দেখে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় মা-মাটি-মানুষকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়ে বলেছেন, আমরাই জিতছি।
১৩ই এপ্রিল মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় প্রথম ফেসবুক লাইভ ভিডিও পোস্ট করেন, যা ২ লক্ষ ভিউ পেয়েছিল ২৪ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে। একইদিনে তিনি একটি ফেসবুকে একটি প্রশ্ন-উত্তর পর্বও করেন যেখানে তিনি প্রচুর মানুষের সাড়া পেয়েছেন।
