Our government is for the people: Mamata Banerjee at Barasat
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated a slew of projects for Uttar 24 Parganas district during a public programme. She also laid the foundation stones of several projects.
Among the projects inaugurated were bridgesm 33/11 KV sub-station, Karma Tirtham new roads, apparel hub etc.
Foundation stones were laid for project for strengthening embankments, textile huts, powerloom clusters and other projects.
Besides these, Mamata Banerjee distributed the benefits of schemes like Kanyashree, Sabuj Sathi, Swasthya Sathi and Gitanjali, relief for farmers affected by natural disasters, Kisan Credit Cards, etc.
Several senior ministers and local leaders were present during the function.

We conducted our administrative review meeting for North 24 Parganas district today. Progress of work in various sectors was reviewed.
Dol Utsav is around the corner. My best wishes to all. Maintain peace and harmony during the festivities. Holi is also celebrated in our State with equal fervour. My advance greetings to all.
Our government is for the people. Our government provides rice at Rs 2/kg. Healthcare is free in Bengal. We give cycles for free to students.
Stipend of Kanyashree girls has been increased. University students have also been included in the scheme.
We are launching ‘Ruposhree’ scheme to provide financial assistance to families, to help them in their daughter’s wedding.
Girls are our assets. They are the backbone of the society. It is our duty to protect them.
We have increased the pension for farmers. We have started a pension scheme for the disabled.
We have started social security scheme for drivers, construction workers, domestic helps and other workers.
We have delivered direct government benefits to 90% people in the State.

আজ উত্তর ২৪ পরগণার জেলার কাছারি ময়দানে পরিষেবা প্রদান অনুষ্ঠানের মঞ্চ থেকে একগুচ্ছ প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তিনি বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাসও করেন।
মুখ্যমন্ত্রী যে সকল প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, নতুন সেতু, ৩৩/১১ কে ভি সাব স্টেশন, কর্মতীর্থ, নতুন রাস্তা, অ্যাপারেল হাব ইত্যাদি।
তিনি যে সকল প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাস করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, বাঁধ উঁচু ও মজবুতিকরন, টেক্সটাইল হাট, পাওয়ারলুম ক্লাস্টার ইত্যাদি।
এছাড়াও তিনি কন্যাশ্রী, সবুজসাথী, সমাজসাথী, গতিধারা, ট্র্যাক্টর, কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ড ইত্যাদি পরিষেবা প্রদান করেন।
এখানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আরও অনেক মন্ত্রী ও স্থানীয় জনপ্রতিনিধিরা।

আজকে এখানে উত্তর ২৪ পরগণার অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেটিভ রিভিউ মিটিং হয়েছে। জেলার সব বিষয়ে আলোচনা হয়েছে। জেলার উন্নয়নের ব্যাপারে সবকিছু আলোচনা হয়েছে।
সামনেই দোল। শান্তিপূর্ণ ভাবে দোল খেলুন। সবাইকে দোলের অভিনন্দন রইল। বাংলায় দোল যেরম হয়, হোলিও হয়। ভালো করে হোলি খেলুন।
আমাদের সরকার মা মাটি মানুষের সরকার, একমাত্র সরকার যারা ২ টাকা কিলো চাল দেয়, গম দেয়, বিনা পয়সায় চিকিৎসা দেয়। বিনা পয়সায়, গাছ, সাইকেল দেয়।
কন্যাশ্রী মেয়েদের স্কলারশিপের টাকা বাড়ানো হয়েছে। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়েও পৌঁছেছে কন্যাশ্রী।
আরেকটা প্রকল্প এপ্রিল মাস থেকে শুরু হচ্ছে – রুপশ্রী। ১.৫ লক্ষ টাকার কম যাদের বার্ষিক আয়, তাঁরা নিজের মেয়েদের বিয়ের জন্য আবেদন করলেই, ২৫০০০ টাকা সাহায্য পাবেন।
মেয়েরা আমাদের সম্পদ। নারীরা সমাজ, দেশ গড়ে। মহিলাদের সম্মানের সঙ্গে আমাদের বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে হবে।
কৃষকদের ভাতাও বাড়ানো হয়েছে। প্রতিবন্ধীদেরও পেনশন প্রকল্পের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে।
অটো ড্রাইভার, ট্যাক্সি ড্রাইভার, বিড়ি শ্রমিক, নির্মাণ কর্মী, ডোমেস্টিক হেল্প, রিক্সাওয়ালা – সকলের জন্য সামাজিক সুরক্ষা প্রকল্প আছে।
৯০% লোকের কাছে আমরা কোনও না কোনও সরকারি পরিষেবা পৌঁছে দিয়েছি।
