Trinamool MPs detained by Delhi Police, lady MPs manhandled by male police
Thirty-two Trinamool MPs staged a demonstration against demonetisation in front of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in the South Block area of New Delhi earlier today. During the course of the protest, two female MPs of the party were manhandled by male police personnel of Delhi Police. Female police personnel were brought in only much later.
The MPs were detained by the police and taken to Mandir Marg police station. However, the MPs courageously continued their protest even at the police station, shouting slogans against Narendra Modi.
Trinamool will continue the protests against demonetisation and political vendetta by the Centre. The MPs will return to Delhi to continue their protests from January 9 to 11.

আজ সাউথ ব্লকে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দফতরের বাইরে প্রতিবাদ করেন ৩২ জন তৃণমূল সাংসদ। আচমকা কেন্দ্রীয় বাহিনী ও এস পি জি মোতায়েন করা হয়। প্রতিবাদ চলাকালীন দুই মহিলা সাংসদদের গায়ে হাত তুলেছেন পুরুষ পুলিশ কর্মীরা। তার অনেক পরে মহিলা পুলিশরা ঘটনাস্থলে আসে।
৩২ জন সাংসদকে মন্দির মার্গ থানায় আনা হয়। সাংসদরা থানার ভিতরেও নরেন্দ্র মোদীর বিরুদ্ধে স্লোগান দিয়ে তাদের প্রতিবাদ চালিয়ে যান।
কেন্দ্রের নোটবাতিলের সিদ্ধান্ত ও প্রতিহিংসামূলক রাজনীতির বিরুদ্ধে দিল্লিতে ৯-১১ জানুয়ারি প্রতিবাদ করবেন তৃণমূল সাংসদরা।
