People of West Bengal reasserts faith, Trinamool wins four Civic Body Elections in the state

Trinamool Congress stole a march over its opponents, bagging four civic bodies in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress won Durgapur, Dhupguri, Panskura and Nalhati civic elections.The elections took place last Sunday.
Trinamool Congress snatched Dhupguri municipality in Jalpaiguri district in the north from the Left winning 11 seats out of 16.
Trinamool Congress also won Burdwan district's Durgapur Municipal Corporation, which the Left Front lost for the first time in 15 years. Trinamool Congress won 29 out of 43 seats in Durgapur.
Trinamool Congress retained the Panskura municipality in East Midnapore district winning 12 out of 17 seats, but more importantly it triumphed in the Nalhati municipality in Birbhum District winning 8 out of 15 seats.
