Trinamool objects to falsehood by BJP MPs in Parliament

Trinamool MP from Joynagar, Pratima Mondal today objected to falsehood perpetrated by BJP MPs in Lok Sabha, which were misleading the House.
She said, “I want to put on record that whatever the Hon’ble Members from West Bengal stated, I completely disagree with that. What he said is completely a lie, Sir.”
This is not the first time that the BJP MPs have resorted to lies on the floor of the House. Even yesterday they made some unsubstantiated claims, which were ultimately expunged from the records.
However, the BJP spread video clips of the speeches by their MPs via social media channels, thus creating a fake narrative to mislead the people.
It is learnt that the Leader of All India Trinamool Congress Parliamentary Party in Lok Sabha, Sudip Bandyopadhyay wrote a letter, signed by other MPs of the party, to the Lok Sabha Speaker outlining this trend of BJP MPs from Bengal spreading falsehood. The letter was handed over to him today. The Speaker was requested to take suitable and immediate action.
Trinamool will take up the issue strongly on Monday November 25, 2019.
