Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be giving away the Tele Academy Awards today. The prize distribution will be followed by a colourful cultural programme with performances by television artistes.

Actors and technicians working in the television industry will be awarded for their outstanding performances throughout their career as well as over the last year. A Hall of Fame recognition has also been instituted since 2015.

The West Bengal Tele Academy Awards cover the entire array of television productions, rewarding excellence in production, programming, photography and technology, among others.

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today gave away Tele Academy Awards 2016-17 at Nazrul Manch. The prize distribution was followed by a colourful cultural programme with performances by Bengali television artistes.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said: “The artistes and technicians who are associated with the television industry are in the reckoning worldwide. The tele artistes and technicians are in no way less than the cine industry. Tele serials can become a medium of mass awareness. You can raise awareness about social evils.”

The West Bengal Tele Academy Awards covers the entire array of television productions, rewarding excellence in production, programming, photography and technology, among others. The awards have been constituted as a token of respect and gratitude to the entire Film and TV industry in West Bengal.

Actors and technicians working in the television industry will be awarded for their outstanding performances through their career as well as in the last year. A Hall of Fame recognition has also been instituted since 2015.

 

টেলি অ্যাকাডেমি পুরস্কার প্রদান করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ নজরুল মঞ্চে টেলি অ্যাকাডেমি পুরস্কার (২০১৬-১৭) তুলে দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। নজরুল মঞ্চে হয় এই অনুষ্ঠান।

এই টেলি অ্যাকাডেমি অ্যাওয়ার্ড ছোট পর্দার টেলি জগতের বিভিন্ন অভিনেতা অভিনেত্রী ও কলাকুশলীদের সম্মান জানানোর একটি প্রয়াস।

টেলিভিশন শিল্পে কর্মরত অভিনেতা-অভিনেত্রী এবং প্রযুক্তিবিদদের তাদের অসামান্য অভিনয়ের জন্য পুরস্কার প্রদান করা হয় গত বছর। এছাড়াও একটি হল অফ ফেম স্বীকৃতি ২০১৫ সাল থেকে প্রবর্তন করা হয়েছে।

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee felicitated personalities from the Bengali television world today at the Tele Akademi Awards programme held at the Nazrul Mancha.

The Tele Akademi Awards is being organized by the West Bengal Tele Academy since last year where personalities from the Bengali television industry are awarded for their exceptional performances throughout the year. Distinguished personalities-actors, directors, producers and technicians of Bengali television are awarded through this programme.

After the award ceremony a colourful cultural programme was performed by the television artistes.

In 2014, the inaugural year of the Tele Akademi Awards, actors Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Monoj Mitra, Sabitri Chattopadhyay and Madhabi Mukhopadhyay were presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

The Trinamool Government had introduced Banga Sammanana in the year 2011 for notable contribution to the state; the Govt has also been honouring distinguished artists from the field of music with Sangeet Samman, and those associated with sports with the Khel Samman.
