On the occasion of Children’s Day on November 14, a smart classroom was inaugurated under the Nabadisha school project of Kolkata Police. It is located in the already existing classroom for footpath children adjacent to the Tollygunge police station.

It was inaugurated by the School Education and Higher Education Minister. He said that the Chinese consulate in Kolkata has extended support in setting up the smart classroom.

He also said that the State Government has taken a lot of initiatives for footpath-dwellers, like setting up night shelters and opening schools.

পথশিশুদের জন্য স্মার্ট ক্লাসরুম উপহার রাজ্যের

১৪ই নভেম্বর শিশু দিবস উপলক্ষে পথশিশুদের স্মার্ট ক্লাসরুম উপহার দিল রাজ্য সরকার। কলকাতা পুলিশের নবদিশা স্কুল প্রকল্পের অন্তর্গত টালিগঞ্জ ফাঁড়ির পাশে পথশিশুদের জন্য যে ক্লাসরুম আছে, সেখানেই উদ্বোধন হল এই স্মার্ট ক্লাসরুম।

এই ক্লাসরুমের উদ্বোধন করেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী। তিনি জানান এই ক্লাসরুম তৈরিতে চীনের কন্স্যুলেট সাহায্য করেছে। তিনি আরও বলেন, নাইট শেল্টার খোলা থেকে শুরু করে স্কুল খোলা, ফুটপাথবাসীদের উন্নয়নে অনেক পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে সরকার।
