Ratna Nag speaks on the need to complete the work of Islampara halt station

FULL TRANSCRIPT
I would like to bring to your kind notice Madam, Islampara halt station – also known as the Hazi Mohammad Mohsin Halt station – is located in the Bansberia Municipal area under Saptagram Legislative Constituency, which is a part of my Parliamentary Constituency.
The halt station was sanctioned and foundation stone was laid on August 12, 2012, by the then Railway Minister where the railway officials were also present. Though the work was started in full swing, immediately after, but the work is not yet complete. Over 50,000 people are affected.
It is pertinent to point out here Madam that this area is mini India – with inhabitants from the Hindu, Muslim, Punjabi, Sikh, Christian, South-Indian – all communities. They face acute problem because of the long distance to be travelled to catch the train. Thus, to their dismay there is no other mode of transport to avail.
So, through you Madam, I would like to request the honourable minister to please complete the work of the Islampara halt station as early as possible and ease the acute difficulties faced by the people of that area.
Thank you very much, Madam.
