WB Governor lauds WB CM`s industry initiatives

West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi on Thursdaycredited Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her initiatives in attractingindustries to the state and said the government has to create an atmosphere topromote industrial and commercial growth.
“The state government is trying itsbest to showcase West Bengal's all-round potential not only to the businesscommunity in the country, but also abroad and its efforts are paying off,”Mr Tripathi said while addressing the AGM of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce andIndustry here.
Lauding the business meetings conducted bythe West Bengal government to woo investment in the state, Mr Tripathi said”The credit for this goes to the initiatives of the Chief Minister inholding pan India meets.”
“Two such meets have been held in NewDelhi and Mumbai. In the state, there were similar industry meets. Of late, hervisit to Singapore has elicited fair amount of industry interest. I am sure thestate government will achieve success in garnering investments.”
Mr Tripathi said it Bengal has tremendous potential in the industriessector and was a viable avenue to generate wealth for the masses and employmentopportunities for its educated and skilled youth.
