WB CM begins four-day visit to North Bengal
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has started her first visit to north Bengal after coming to power for a second term. Mamata Banerjee has visited north Bengal more than one hundred times, between 2011 and May 2016, much more than any other Chief Minister, concentrating on the development of the area.
Her three-day itinerary began with a visit to Alipurduar, where she participated in the second anniversary celebrations of the formation of the district. Later in the evening, she held an administrative meeting with district officials.
On Tuesday, the Chief Minister will hold another administrative meeting in Alipurduar following which she is likely to announce a host of development projects for the seven districts of north Bengal.

বিপুল জনসমর্থন নিয়ে রাজ্যে দ্বিতীয়বার ক্ষমতায় আসার পর এই প্রথম উত্তরবঙ্গ সফরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। ২০১১ থেকে ২০১৬ সালের মধ্যে মমতা ব্যানার্জী শতাধিক বার উত্তরবঙ্গে সফরে এসেছেন। অন্য কোন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তুলনায় এলাকার উন্নয়নের উপর অনেক বেশি গুরুত্ব দিয়েছেন।
এদিন দুপুরে বাগডোগড়া বিমানবন্দরে নেমে সড়কপথে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সোজা চলে যাবেন আলিপুরদুয়ারে। সন্ধ্যায় প্যারেড গ্রাউণ্ডে আলিপুরদুয়ার জেলা গঠনের দ্বিতীয় বর্ষপূর্তির সমাপ্তি অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দেওয়ার কথা। পড়ে সন্ধ্যেবেলায়, জেলা শাসকদের সঙ্গে প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করবেন।
মঙ্গলবার হাসিমারার সুহাসিনী চা বাগানের মাঠে আলিপুরদুয়ার জেলাকে নিয়ে প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী৷ সেখানে তিনি উত্তরবঙ্গের সাতটি জেলার বিভিন্ন উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্প নিয়ে পর্যালোচনা করবেন।শিল্প থেকে পর্যটন, শিক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্য থেকে পরিকাঠামো – রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন দফতরের পক্ষ থেকে উত্তরবঙ্গের উন্নয়নে হাতে নেওয়া হয়েছে নানা প্রকল্প৷ মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর উপস্থিতিতে সব নিয়ে পর্যালোচনা হওয়ার কথা৷
২৯ জুন শিলিগুড়িতে রাজ্যের শাখা সচিবালয় ‘উত্তরকন্যায়’ দার্জিলিং, জলপাইগুড়ি ও কোচবিহার জেলাকে নিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক রয়েছে৷ ৩০ তারিখ কলকাতায় ফিরবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী৷
