Trinamool Mahila Congress organises sit-in demonstration at CBI office for the second day

The women's wing of party, Mahila TrinamoolCongress, led by its State President Ms Chandrima Bhattacharya organisedas sit-in protest campaign in front of the CBI office at Salt Lake for the second consecutive day. The protestcomes in the wake of a smear campaign against the party and the Chairperson MsMamata Banerjee.
“CBI is not a bipartisan organisation. CBI is working at the behest of the ruling party at Centre. The real culprits of the Saradha scam must be brought to book,” said State President of Mahila Trinamool Congress Chandrima Bhattacharjee.
A few days back, party Secretary General MrPartha Chatterjee had said at a press conference that if the campaign of maliciouspropaganda against the party by the Opposition and a section of the media doesnot stop, the women workers of the party will hit the streets.
Trinamool Yuva organized a rally on Monday atBowbazar where its national president, Mr Abhishek Banerjee lashed out at the Oppositionand the media for its propaganda. On Tuesday, a rally was organized byTrinamool Chhatra Parishad, Trinamool Yubo Congress and Trinamool Yuva as amark of protest against the malicious campaign.
On Wednesday, a press conference was heldby the party Secretary General Mr Partha Chatterjee at Trinamool Bhavan,accompanied by senior trade union leader and the state Minister for Panchayatand Rural Development Mr Subrata Mukherjee. Both the leaders said that peoplemust come forward to condemn the negative political culture promoted in theState by certain sections.
