State Govt to provide jobs to workers repatriated from Kashmir

Recently a few workers from Bangla were mercilessly killed in Kashmir. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ensured that the bodies were handed over to their respective families. The families would be given Rs 5 lakh each and a family member would get a job with the State Government.
The government yesterday safely brought back the rest of the workers from the State. Under the Samarthan Scheme, these people would be given a one-time monetary aid of Rs 50,000. Besides this, they would be absorbed in the work on various government schemes.
It may be mentioned here that the Samarthan Scheme was started in the aftermath of demonetisation, when many workers from across the country who had lost their jobs and had to return to home to the State, were each given the same amount to start businesses for livelihoods.
The chief minister made the following Facebook post yesterday on this issue:
Our State Government has brought back 133 persons who were working as labourers in Jammu & Kashmir, as they have been suffering from insecurity to their lives.
We have also decided to provide Rs.50,000 (rupees fifty-thousand) to each of these persons, so that they can start their fresh livelihood here again. They will receive the financial assistance very shortly.
Besides, they will also be brought under the beneficiaries’ schemes of the Government, like Khadya Sathi, Banglar Awas Yojana, etc, for which they are entitled.
Necessary instructions in this regard are being issued separately.
I thought of sharing this with all of you.
