State Child Rights Commission launched child abuse helpline
The State Child Rights Commission has started a helpline on WhatsApp for child abuse. The number is 9836300300. It became functional on September 10.
The helpline would be open 24 hours and on all days of the week. This is a very important step taken by the commission.
Any form of physical and mental abuse on children, as well as cases of child marriage, which is illegal, can be reported through the helpline. Officers of the commission would attend to the complaints immediately.
