Pratima Mondal’s Zero Hour mention on the need for a road in her constituency to be repaired by the Railways
Chairman, Sir, due to dire need of the people of my Constituency, I had spent an amount of Rs. 23 lakh for construction of a black top road from Uttar Kalikapur PWD road towards Dhruba Chand Halder College in the year 2016-17. The road falls under the jurisdiction of Railways. It is adjacent to Dakshin Barasat Railway Station on the Sealdah Joynagar line. It is the lifeline in terms of connectivity for thousands of passengers mainly students. With passing of time, the condition of the said road has deteriorated and needs immediate repairing. I would have taken a step towards the same through my MPLAD fund but since it was suspended for two years, the burden on it is immense. Therefore, I would request the hon. Railway Minister to take necessary action for including the said road under the railway maintenance map and get it repaired at the earliest.
