People’s alliance will defeat the Congress-CPI(M) alliance: Abhishek Banerjee
At a workers’ rally at Jhalda in Purulia district on Saturday, in support of the Trinamool candidate for Baghmundi Assembly constituency for the 2016 Assembly election, Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee asked the people to give a fitting reply to the CPI(M) by defeating them at the election.
He made similar appeals during the two other rallies he addressed in the district – at Para and at Balarampur.
He criticised the Congress for going into an alliance with the CPI(M). At all the rallies, he appealed to the people to bring the Trinamool to power so that more developments could reach the people. He also warned the Opposition to not take the Trinamool’s tolerant attitude to be its weakness.
Highlighting the progress that Jangalmahal has made under the Trinamool Congress, Abhishek Banerjee said that the Ayodhya Hills, which was once an important base of the Maoists, is now a tourist hotspot.

শুক্রবার বাঘমুণ্ডি বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের প্রার্থীর সমর্থনে পুরুলিয়ার ঝালদায় একটি জনসভা করেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এদিনের সভায় তিনি বলেন সিপিএমকে পরাজিত করে মানুষ এবার যোগ্য জবাব দেবে।
এদিন এই জেলায় আরও দুটি জনসভা করেন তিনি। একটি পাড়া বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রে এবং অপরটি বলরামপুরে।
তিনি বলেন, “ঘাস যতই কাটা হোক, যেমনভাবেই, তা আবার মাটি ফুঁড়ে বেরবে। তৃণমূলও তেমনই। যতই তার নামে কুৎসা,অপপ্রচার করা হোক তৃণমূল আরও বেশি ভোটে জিতবে”।
সব সমাবেশেই তিনি মানুষের কাছে আবেদন করে বলেন উন্নয়নকে মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছানোর জন্য তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসকে আবার ক্ষমতায় আনতে হবে। এদিন সিপিএম-কংগ্রেসের জোট নিয়েও সমালোচনা করেছেন অভিষেক। তিনি বিরোধীদের সতর্ক করে বলেন, “তৃণমূলের সহনশীলতাকে তৃণমূলের দুর্বলতা মনে করবেন না”।
তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সরকারের আমলে জঙ্গলমহলের উন্নয়ন ও প্রগতির কথা উল্লেখ করে তিনি বলেন আগে অযোধ্যা পাহাড় যেখানে মাওবাদী অধ্যুষিত এলাকা ছিল বর্তমানে তা একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পর্যটন কেন্দ্র।
